Trail was nice and easy, even carrying my lil’ 6 pound dog.

The donkey was mad he yelled from afar we weren't taunting him just sitting on the bench

Too much mosquitoes! Bring plenty of water

Would be great for beginner trail running.

Very easy and pleasant walk! Lots of trails and options for exploring. Wasn’t too crowded on a Sunday evening. Most of the trails are open and exposed so beware of that on a hot day!

3 creeks to cross, last one was most difficult. Overall almost 9 mi round trip, really easy until the end it gets harder. Elevation gain is not all at once which makes it easier. Very shaded so 1.5L of water is plenty or 2 to be safe. Saw a deer and a rabbit.

First time riding this. I’m sure glad I went counter clockwise because the switchbacks were pretty nuts on the way back

Part of the Bay Trail, beautiful and scenic with lots of birds. I recommend early morning on hotter days.

Flat and windy, you can run for miles and miles uninterrupted by cars! Also great for birdwatching.

Exposed but that doesn't make a difference to me!Decent hike all around!

Very little shade and uninteresting views. Go somewhere else, at least in the summer

Nice exercise trail and good for hot days as it’s mostly shaded. Last mile or so is brutal! Bring lots of water. Pretty buggy by the creek. Trekking poles would’ve been nice for the creek crossings.

Nice quick trail and view. Depending on day could get a bit hot.

Good trail for long distance hiking practice, almost in shade all the way, climb at the end is a bit brutal and tiring, some bugs and flies around. The distance is around 9.5 miles NOT 7.6. Overall great trail close to the bay area for hiking.

It is a good trail for summer. Most of the trail is shaded, which is great for hot summer days, but also means the you don’t get any nice views. Not a crowded trail, so works great as a training trail.

It was a good training hike for some higher elevation hikes. Lots of poison oak and critters on the trail. The trail itself has quite a bit of shade, but there aren’t that many places to take a rest for snacks, coffee etc. Also, did the hike on 13th of July and the stream crossings had quite a bit of flowing water. We still managed to cross while coming back jumping from rock to rock, but they also had a log bridge with rope tied to the two ends, which was a bit dodgy.

This was my 8yr old sons 1st MTBing trail on his 26 (he's tall) and he struggled getting to the top of the 1st hill starting westward. Not sure if this would be any different heading eastbound but the kid-friendly rating may be a stretch on this
