Beautiful trail, although part of it in the middle was under construction and we had to go back. There were other trails also worth to see. Free parking, lots of deers :)

Very nice and mostly shaded trail but very difficult for the average person.

Did part of this trail for a morning walk. Lots of birds including pelicans, a blue heron, geese, and ducks. Very pretty

Good facilities, sunny when the city is foggy, mild rolling hills, wide trails but kind of boring

I like this trail except way too many bicycles and loud talkers (both hikers and bikers). Not a great place to go if you want solitude. Even with the smoke in the air, it didn't keep people away.

I enjoyed the variety of trails on this loop. I was huffing and puffing a bit on the way up to the top of Black Mountain. I wished there hadn't been so much smoke in the air as there was very little to see at the top. It did make me pause and be grateful for areas that are still alive with vegetation and not burned.

This area fooled me into thinking it would be cooler than the east bay. WRONG! It was a warm hike towards the end. Make sure to bring plenty of water and a good sun hat as a lot of the trail after mid way is exposed. I went through almost 2.5L of water on the hike today.

This is a bit of a drive to get to for me, so I'll probably not do it again. If I do, I will do it in the fall/winter/spring when there is no smoke in the air and the land is green.

Lots of sunny areas. Wasn't too hot today but could be on other days.

glad this was preserved. open land pretty close to the road but still deer, rabbits and other wildlife. even a small 4 site campground. A nice bit of Nature so close to the urban area.

great views. minimum 4 ltrs water. no cellphone signal. must have poles. you need a day to chillax after it. overall, lovely and tough.

Nice trail. Saw lots of birds and a beautiful rainbow!

First half is flat, second half is steeper. Not too much traffic (although it was raining when I went). Did it in 2ish hours but I ran part of the way.

My dog and I had a lovely stroll! Nice on a cold day because there are a lot of sunny spots!

Gorgeous variation in ecosystems and a touch climb up Black Mountain. Great workout and the perfect length for a morning or afternoon hike!

Convenient to drive to, but a small parking lot. A nice weekend morning destination with all exposed trails for when you need some sun light. However, trails were not marked most of the time, so it was confusing to choose a way at the forks.

great beautiful kids friendly hike.

Nice trail for biking or hiking. Relatively flat. Dog friendly

Enjoyed this hike.

Bad trail marks, virtually all out in the open so no shade, too many animals and bikers. It should more accurately be called easy not moderate

Beautiful trail too enjoy quality time with your best friend 

Great open trail with lots of different routes. Wild animals (coyotes and bobcats) roam the area so DO NOT let your dog offleash.

Beautiful grassy hills, great for jogging, slightly hilly, must be even nicer when it is green

Trail was nice. But, you must know the is no such trail as the Monte Bello Preserve Loop Trail. What All Trails calls the Monte Bello Preserve Loop Trail, is really a mix of 6 or 7 trails pieced together. It breaks down as such.

first you start on the White Oak Trail this leads you to the Skid Road Trail then to Stevens Creek Nature Trail then to Canyon Trail then to Indian Creek Trail. here you break off and go to Black Mountain. Sit here have lunch and enjoys the views. The hard part of the hike is over. Turn around head down towards Old Rach Trail then to Bella Vista Trail then to Canyon Trail then to stating / ending parking lot. That's to loop.... would be better if All Trails actually listed these things properly.

Good hike with 2 streams (same stream 2 crossing points). Shaded on most parts and last mile of uphill had me huffing and puffing. Had it not been for the streams I'm not sure I'd do it again as there weren't spectacular views at the top of table top. Parking is right next to the trail head.

Exposed trail with nice combination of elevation changes. Good for cool weather running.

Pro, outside. Stellar bathrooms for public park. Not that crowded. Con, not all that scenic/trees and covered the entire map in two hours. There's not a lot of trail distance. Nice little pond.

Mature redwood and douglas fir trees provide excellent shade cover in this beautiful hike that involves two creek crossings (no bridge). Ideally done in late spring - fall (before rainy season), be prepared for trail closures after good rains when the creek flows in force. With 2100 feet elev gain, this is an excellent workout too.
