An amazingly beautiful hike with gorgeous views. Yes it is steep but if you take your time and take a few rests you'll be rewarded at the summit.

This trail wasn't my favorite for a few reasons. There were 16 different stream crossings which I wasn't anticipating. I wouldn't have minded, but once you get to the end (indicated by a sign) I saw no waterfall. How did I miss it? I have read other reviews that indicate a waterfall, but I saw nothing so I felt very disappointed, especially after getting pretty wet.

Great trail, easy with couple slightly moderate (short sections). Winter & Spring, lots of water! Be prepared to get wet. weekends only after the 4th of July. $9 per person entry, Annual pass $99 good for calendar year from purchase date. Sections of horse trail mixed in, watch for the poop. Lots of shade after first desert section. 3 hour hike (out and back) at very easy pace with stops for snacks and pictures.

This Is The Best Hike Ever...45 Minutes At The Peak "Definitely Worth It" I Love This Trail...( make sure to have a compass, map, flash light, protein bars and plenty of water) one more thing LISTEN TO THE RANGER

Absolutely amazing views! The hike is strenuous to get to the peak but worth doing. There is a lot of downed trees and snow still up there but the trail is pretty straightforward.

Did this hike today. Great hike with fabulous views at the summit. I agree with some of the other reviewers in that we also clocked the trip at 12 miles. A little snow on the trail but otherwise mostly clear.

Yes there was snow
Great hike
I agree with Bret, It clocks out just under 12 miles

Had a great hike from the tram to the top of San Jacinto. All trails has this hike as just under 10 miles. We clocked in 12 miles. Still quite a bit of snow above the 9,500 level on the north face of the mountain. The trail disappears quite a bit due to all the snow. Never got lost but had to trail blaze quite a bit due to the trail virtually disappearing.

It was a bit crowded up top but the trail itself had a moderate amount of hikers.

Enjoyed a great dinner at the restaurant up top of the tram before we headed home.
