A challenge at times but lots of places to sit and enjoy the views of Bob Hope’s former house.

Skyline park was open did not attempt to summit

Steep beginning with lots of views. Enjoyable evening or morning hike to get the blood pumping!

This was a great little hike. More toward moderate at there where a lot of stairs but not to bad. The south part of the loop is a bit more strenuous then the north part of the loop. But manageable. The falls were beautiful. We arrived at 9am and there were only a few people. However one the way out, approximately 10am it was heavily trafficked. Definitely get there early.

Nice hike. Hard but not difficult. Steep climbs but good trail and footing. Would do it again. Nice desert views.

Recommend GPS and enough battery as multiple trails interconnect and can get off route.

Beautiful trail! Many steam crossings, may not be best after a rain. Grasses, flowers, amazing rock outcroppings and palms grace the path. Enjoy the trail and don't be fixated on getting to 'the falls', it's nice but the trail is the feature!

Even though visibility was maybe 100ft at the top, this was still a fun and challenging hike. It took my brother and I 2.5 hours to get up to the top. Hiking poles or microspikes would be recommended this time of year even though it was fairly warm in the beginning (I only had a t-shirt on until Wellman Divide). There was a sprinkling of rain from Wellman Divide to the top which then turned to snow.

*$9.00 per adult for entry* (you can buy a half-year pass ($60) or an annual pass ($90) but you may want to make sure it is worth the cost first).

This is a gorgeous hike! It’s a great combination of desert landscape and groups of palm trees; a little oasis! Bring plenty of water, but know there is also quite a bit of shade. It does involve several water crossings via rocks (10+) and a few ascents/descents that can be tricky for footing if there is dirt on the rocks. Our new favorite hike as it’s the perfect distance (3.9 mi) and so enjoyable!

A great hike!

Went in mid-March, and it was nice and cool without a ton of people. Not the best views that time of year and we did get light rain along the last two miles. I also went in October as well and it was hotter, more crowded but with better visibility. The first two and last two miles are rough, but the middle is really enjoyable! Sunrise along the trail and city lights are also very beautiful.

This hike is no joke. But if you can do it the views are amazing. Picnic area that is 1 mile in but you will go up about 1,000 feet in elevation. Will absolutely be doing this again and making it all the way to the top!!!

Great loop trail at the top of the tram. Took us exactly 2 hours. Views are spectacular. We went counter clockwise going up through the trees and down with the overlook views. This was recommended by the rangers and was terrific. A bi of squishy snow in places.

Highly recommended

Great trail with wonderful views.

The Araby trail goes up to about 1300’ and then finds a sign “Burns/Gariston” trail. Nowhere is Araby loop trail referenced. At a weathered iron sign, labeled Burns Trail, it appears the trail Y’s and you can go left or right. At the cairn in that area, it appears the trail descends to the south in to a ravine, and then switchbacks can be seen going up a hill to the south. Point being, this trail fails correct marking. Not cool.

Did the trail counter clockwise and the climb up was great. Somewhat challenging, hard to go up at a cardio pace because I kept stopping to take in how amazingly beautiful the views were.

Surprised no one has yet to mention how much HORSE POOP is on the trail. The entire lower portion of the trail, the Henderson, is also an equestrian trail and there’s horse poop everywhere. Which was annoying because it takes up the whole width of the trail!

If I do this trail again, I’ll start counter clockwise again, do the Berns loop at the top and come down the way I came and skip the lower portion of the “horse poop loop.”

Not that hard. Nice afternoon hike. It was very windy at the top but a fun hike. I’m not hugely in shape but this was very doable. Recommended Trail with nice views

Loved this hike, first mile in was steep but doable, views were amazing and met some great hikers along the way willing to share their experiences. Can’t wait to do it again! PS: love that its dog friendly

First time hiking this trail and really enjoyed it.. The first mile is a little steep then it levels off. Great views of Palm Springs, and trail is really pretty, lots of red barrel cactus and some brittle bush blooming. Perfect weather today.

most popular hike in Palm Springs. slightly touristic. bring money for admission ($12.50). very beautiful. easy. fine valley views. must read canyon history in old newspapers at visitor center.

Nice challenging hike. Not worth going to see the mine. It’s just a plaque

Great hike. Took me 2.5 hours, which was a pretty good workout. Beautiful views. Totally worth it. The app was great to keep me on the right path

I said YES on this trail Christmas Eve 2016 when my beautiful wife asked me to marry her!!!

Saw many Ovis canadensis and a few Canine domesticus (scoff laws).

Beautiful views over the valley. Dogs are no problem from South trailhead. No dogs allowed at TC trailhead. Only met a few other hikers. Very nice hike.

First weekend on November with clear skies. Christine and I started sharp at 1 am from the museum. Took us 16.5 hrs to reach the summit and back down to take Tram. Took a lunch break and refill water at ranger station. The trees and sign at summit had frost, but prefer that that hike up in 3-digit temperature. Long hikes like this one, I always try to do it on full moon (less stress on my vision to find path and avoiding rocks). Like many people mentioned, last part will test you mentally and physically. Moved some rocks and branches to mark trail were trail was not very clear. If possible, do the same to avoid getting people lost and the sake of local rescue personnel.

Take it to Victor Trail such a fun 3 miles.

Did this hike for the first time this week and went counter clock wise. It started out steep and leveled out before declining. The trail seems well maintained and beautiful, sweeping, desert views. Will for sure be returning :)

This is a fun hike but in my experience the trail is not maintained very well. Be prepared and pay attention to your surroundings. It’s a very enjoyable and challenging hike!
