Easy to find parking, 9 miles for 4 hours, about 30 percent of the trail out on the sun. Good workout since it has some incline, very pretty view of the lake, mountains, birds singing, wildflowers. I will come back.

beautiful scenic hike. it have a few different trails but we stuck to this trail. pretty paved out the first few miles and last few miles. seen a lot of people fishing, people walking dogs, friends chatting. I would say this trail definitely isn't good for kids under 10 because it's pretty long. Most families stuck to the paved road and walked back. the hike gave us different sceneries throughout which was cool... one part was pretty densed wooded area and overgrown green. I seen plenty of lizards, a rat and even a rabbit. overall a nice relaxing hike. the inclined areas wasn't to much or to often. any adult should be able to handle if they don't have disabilities. limited bathrooms.

Great trail for kids and strollers

Loved the trail, but it turns out dogs are NOT allowed on the trails.

Good place to ride if your a beginner in mountain biking . Some cool little trials in the nature area . Couple jumps closer to Woodbridge area .

Nice trail, lots of shade. Started my recording late so it was actually 9.2 mi around the lake. Dogs must be leashed. Very busy trail with hikers and bikers. Beautiful lake views!

9.2 miles. We went counter clockwise. In the future I’d just head to the waterfall and then back, which is prettier than the day camp / roads you take on the other half. Great hike!

There’s a tiny bit of sand, but for the most part you’re on pavement.

*Do not go to the main entrance to the recreation area, they are only letting el Dorado county residents in.* I found if you go further past the main entrance and the dam, there are gravel turn outs where you can pay 5 dollars for parking. Once you get on the trail it is beautiful, it goes through the trees and stays right on the lake. There is a little incline and the whole trail around the lake is about 8 miles. it's a good workout. lots of cute little bridges that pass over a creek. there is a waterfall, but it didnt look natural to mw. You get to see the whole lake and there are plenty of places to park and take a break by the water and even jump in.

Over all nice quick hike. Trail was maintained well. Nice view of the lake most of the way around. There is only one small section that is a bit tricky on the far side. Very shady in the late afternoon. Lots of mosquitoes too. We sprayed down with bug spray and still got a few bites. We had the pleasure of seeing a bald eagle. Not many people on the trail but lots of people fishing.

Easy walk. No complications.

Nice kid friendly trail.

We couldn’t get in. Only open to El Dorado County residents

Went with my family (easy for a young kid) and observed lots of plants and birds. seems like an extension on the botanical gardens with all the flora to be seen. Saw a number of waterfowl (Canada geese, mallards, great blue herons, night herons...). A fair number of people on the paths as well. Easy street parking right next to the outer path. The ducks are very used to people and expect to be fed (which we didn't - please don't feed the ducks, for their own good!)

This is a great bike path: No street traffic and ocean views almost the entire way. Starting from the north in Marina del Rey, it takes you past the airport, El Segundo and famous Dockweiler surf beach, then into Manhattan Beach, followed by Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and ending at Torrance State Beach. There is a slight deviation from the ocean in Redondo Beach to maneuver around the marina, but even in this area, there is a designated bike path that is separate from vehicle traffic. It can get quite busy on holidays and weekends. The only area where the paved path is shared with pedestrians is in Hermosa Beach. Otherwise, there is a separate and clearly delineated bike path the whole way. If you are looking for a leisurely ride with great ocean views with no vehicle traffic, this is the path for you!

Very scenic hike. I hated to see human trash everywhere around the trails, from bottles to face masks. Lots of invasive species of plants. It's shameful to see the force of destruction by human race where ever they set foot on.
