I loved this hike. We were the first people on the trail in the morning and had the trail to ourselves for the entire hike out to the waterfall. There were a ton of salamanders and banana slugs on the trail in the morning. If you want to see them, get there early because they disappeared once the sun came out. We hiked to the top of the waterfall and had lunch by ourselves at the top while we sat with our feet in the water. It was beautiful and was one of the most relaxing things I’ve ever done. As far as the hike goes, it isn’t the toughest hike I’ve done, but the hike back from the waterfall will test your fitness a bit. It’s mostly downhill on the way in, which means it’s an uphill grind on the way out. I wouldn’t recommend doing this hike on a hot day unless you enjoy the punishment! Make sure you bring bug spray because the mosquitos are bad.

Beautiful hike!!! It wore my friend and I out. We got there at about 11 am yesterday and there were A LOT of people. Bring a lot of water and some snacks!! Falls were PHENOMENAL. And bug spray will definitely be your best friend, there were a ton of mosquitos.

Loved the trail, but it turns out dogs are NOT allowed on the trails.

This trail was absolutely amazing!!!! Water, green lush plants, flowers, butterflies, and sunshine. Perfect. We got out early, took our time to appreciate each falls, and ID some new flowers. Took others advice to bring bug spray and had no issue. We found two ticks on us during the hike, so make sure to do your tick check! We went counterclockwise, (so steep hike up at the end because we like that!) and entirely enjoyed ourselves. Not difficult at all and loaded with shade. Can’t wait to do it again.

Wonderful hike! Took the left (low trail) to the falls and stayed left onto the high trail back. Was not too difficult at all. I read the previous reviews and took bug spray and had no issues with bugs. Was first on the Trail at 0700. By the time I got to my Jeep The Who Peking lot and roads were packed. So go early! Stay left stay left stay left and wear big spray!! Can’t wait to go again. Highly recommended

Amazing, mostly shaded trail, and a falls much more epic than expected! When you just about get to the main stairs/viewpoint, notice another small trail going uphill and to the right before turning in that direction - I missed it the first time I did this trail, but that leads you up to the actual top of the falls!! Great workout. Not too crowded but did see some people.

This is just Riverbend Park. Nothing to see here.

Great trail. I loved it. Went on a Saturday May 30th 2020around 11am a lot of empty space to park. Not a lot of people. When I got up to the waterfall there were a few people then my friends and I had the place all to ourselves for a while. Definitely A must hike.

Highly recommend this trail! The terrain was easy to hike. Definitely bring plenty of water, snacks and bug spray. I forgot the bug spray, but definitely plenty of mosquitoes. Gorgeous views of the waterfall. Definitely worth hiking to the top of the waterfall.

I went on this trail 5/28/20 at about 8am. There was plenty of parking at this hour on a weekday. Truly a beautiful hike and a good little workout. It’s definitely a test to see how in shape you are. A majority of the hike to the falls is downhill (be aware of this! You can easily get in over your head if you’re not actively thinking that you’ll have to go UP later). I recorded the hike on my Apple Watch and it said the trail was 9.65 miles, it probably depends on how much exploring you do as I did some at the top of the falls. There was a ton of wildlife: salamanders, lizards, butterflies, squirrels and some snakes (so be careful). But most of all, there were bugs. That was the only reason I gave this hike a 4 star rating. I swallowed so many bugs with my mouth hanging open for breath while hiking back up hill.

Trail was very over grown and hard to find in many areas. There are fallen trees that you have to crawl under in order to get pasted. Me and my friends got lost due to there not being a distinct trail. Would not recommend this time of year; waterfalls were pretty dried up. I will say this hike is a good workout though

Great trail! Went on a Saturday at around 9am and the parking lot was already really full. We went the clockwise route and made it to the top of the waterfall. I recommend bringing bug spray and lots of water. Overall great hike!

Beautiful trail. Challenging if you’re not an avid hiker, especially the way back up. We took the lower trail and didn’t loop around. The spectacular views at overlook and at the waterfall itself are completely worth it. Watch for snakes (the ones we saw immediately retreated, just be mindful) and it’s a good idea to take a wet bandana or something to cool off with for the areas of hike that are not shaded. Definitely doing this one again!

Excellent trail with so many stunning views. Bring lots of water and some snacks to energize yourself! It’s sad that some people left trash on the trail, I would highly recommend to bring a trash bag to help clean up.

It’s Riverbend Park. Nothing special.

So I’ve hiked around Table Mountain my whole life, but never during this time of year. I found out why today! HOLY GRASSHOPPERS! They are everywhere. It’s very annoying. The was very little water at both Ravine Falls & Phantom Falls. No rain = very little water flow. If you do decide to go hike around this time of year, I suggest going early in the morning as it warms up and there is very little shade. This is definitely a spring or fall hike.

Beautiful looped hike with a spectacular waterfall about halfway through . I like to do the loop counterclockwise, visiting the lookout first, then heading up to the top of the falls. There are spots to refresh in the cold water and have some lunch , even saw a couple of small campsites. Second waterfall on the way back is nowhere as impressive as Feather Falls, but still cool, and is another good spot for a break and a quick dip in the cold water. Trailhead is still a mess, as others have pointed out, and the restrooms are REALLY ROUGH. If not for that would’ve rated it a 5. Will definitely head back for a little more exploring. Probably at the tougher side of moderate, but mostly shaded with plenty of benches and good spots to stop and rest a bit before moving on.

Took the trail to the right on the fork. Easy to moderate on our way to the top of the waterfall. Looped around on the way back. I feel like 90% of it was inclined. A lot harder than expected. (I will add that I’m a bit out of shape now and just getting back in to hiking) I did need to stop several times for a break. But I made it! wear repellent. So many bugs during the entire hike. Please pack your trash and don’t leave it on the trail. Saddening to see water bottles, wrappers, and white claw cans in the smaller streams or on the path.

So there I was thinking today is a beautiful day for a hike. I got a group of friends together who havent been hiking in years. We first go to the bathrooms and because of covid there was a pool of pee and human excrement all over the bathrooms because they weren't being maintained. (i hope) we set off. It was beautiful. A lot of downhill at first. We realized this is going to be rough on the way back. Little did we know... as we go down there were multiple people walking up looking like their souls had died and wanted to be put out of their misery. we laughed...little did we know those were the signs we should not have gone further. almost every person we passed on the way down asked how much further with the same look of desperation. By the time we got to the falls we were pretty tired and sore. But the falls were beautiful and we hiked around onto the top of the waterfall and were able to stick our feet in the water. we felt refreshed and ready to head back. then we started heading back.. it was at this point we realized we had made a terrible mistake. every step felt like death. we were taking breaks along the way neck in neck with the other few suffering souls who were trying to make it back up. we all encouraged each other while secretly hoping we would just fall off the edge and end our misery. as the hours passed the end was no where near in site. we were then wondering if we would have to make camp and hope we don't end up like the donnor party. my boyfriend was looking mighty tasty with his beer belly. Then the mosquitoes showed up. just to remind us of the living hell we were in. once we got about half a mile to the top rangers were heading down looking for someone who had called in distress. we almost wanted to say it was us. in hopes these very handsome well built rangers would carry us out. but we told them we didn't know who had called. every turn we expected the end tp be near and it never was. this was it. I realized we had all died and this was our hell. every turn always being another. we deserved this. I was accepting my fate. but finally we came to the end. we all screamed and hugged and couldn't believe we made it out alive. as we were sure there was cameras all around, we had to of been on naked and afraid we screamed with glee. we all got in the car and headed home. and needless to say my friends who i had invited have not spoke to me sense. so all in all it was a good day. dont go if you are not already an active hiker. lol

Went at the end of May. Pictures are very deceiving, everything is dry and waterfalls are small. Trail is very confusing, it is not a loop. You will get lost (I did). Crazy amount of grasshoppers jumping EVERYWHERE. Really ruined the hike.

Such a fun trail my boyfriend and I did. I didn’t do much research and didn’t expect the 10 mile hike, but glad we did! Felt super accomplished. Brought my camera and took a ton of photos. The waterfall at the end was completely worth it. Lots of shade, ran into a few snakes, even a rattlesnake! A beautiful hike, but the place itself wasn’t the cleanest. So much trash at the beginning of the trail and the bathrooms were a disaster. Other than that, the hike itself is something I definitely would recommend if you want to do something a bit challenging.

Went with family (8+) on a Sunday. Got there around 10, there was barely any parking. Bathrooms smell and there are a lot of trash. The trail splits into two trails, left and right trail. Started on the trail on the right, found beautiful bridge and scenery. Only a few incline but plenty of shade. Got to the top of the fall and came back, saw 2 red, black, white snakes. A lot of lady bugs and butterflies. The trail coming back, a lot of incline. But overall, it was a good hike. My nephew (5 yrs old) and grandma (78) was able to make it! Got back to the car around 4 however there was plenty of stops we made. Prepare to bring bug spray as well!

The trail was heavily wooded which meant a lot of shade and that was great! Never did I feel like it was too hot although the weather was about 84 or so when I went. I didn’t get bit by any mosquitos but my boyfriend did quite a bit! So make sure to bring bug repellant. I took the right fork because that’s where everyone was going. It’s a short hike to the small falls but it took forever to get to the big Frey falls. I ended up not hiking up to it because I wasn’t well prepared - mentally. It took about 4 hours and 10 mins for me to complete with stops in between to let my dog cool off with me and play in the creeks. I’m just getting back into hiking so it was difficult but for someone who hikes often or is in shape, it wouldn’t be too bad. The inclines aren’t horrible. Some areas where poison oak have grown out but I was able to avoid them easily.

Loved it!! I suggest taking the left at the fork because it’s easier to come out the other end. We didn’t go to the overlook so I’m not sure about that view, but we went straight to the waterfall and it was amazing! Take plenty of water! All the way to the waterfall and back I got 8.75 miles in about 4 walking hours, plus about 1 hour of resting on the trail and waterfall. I haven’t been hiking in maybe a year, but I was able to get it done! I recommend this trail

Once a year. That’s awesome 9.2miles and took us like 4 hours with some rest at waterfall . Same amazing scenario at waterfall. Nice sound of birds and bugs. One negative thing that I saw 2 snakes and one of those like 3 feet huge rattle snake . It was sitting almost on trail rock it kind of scare me when it started rattling on tail thing and then slowly get like 5-6 feet and watching us . I know I was at their home . But you have to be careful about. It was nice but not easy on the way back bcse I decided to take this loop oposite way . Recommended to go there on lower trail and return on top it’s much easier.(or it maybe I just getting older)
