Hiked in the late afternoon. Lighting amongst the towering redwoods was spectacular. Very few people there at that time.

Amazing views of the big trees, ferns, and rainforest mosses. Worth your time

Solid! A little crowded.

Interesting mostly because you are hopping on rocks and logs most of the time. Recommend wearing flip flops or wellies, not hiking shoes.

Go early and you’ll have entire trail to yourself

Definitely recommend if you have a full day at Redwood. Gives you a full experience of the park, from giant redwoods to the coast. Mostly shaded hike (except coast part). If you decide to hike the beach part close to the water, it’s easy to miss the campground. We accidentally walked an extra mile— but the coastal views made it worth it. Start early and you’ll have the whole trail and foggy forest to yourself. Be ready to walk across makeshift bridges at fern canyon (or get your feet wet). Super fun trail!

added the revelation trail to make it about a mile.

Beautiful trail, especially after initial ascent is done. Saw traces of bear and blooming rhododendrons. And absolutely no people! Some parts we very narrow with high grass and bushes on the sides, long sleeve is recommended.

Easy hike, but very nice. We took the foothill trail out and joined the Cathedral trail back to the visitor’s center. We only had a short time in the forest, but I was so glad we got to hike!

I love getting to see the great trees—perfect little walk from the visitor’s center!

This is a long trail that has a lot to enjoy. My guess is that this is rated hard due to the distance, not the technical difficulty of the trail. There are definitely some uphill parts but they're gradual. It is very secluded until you reach Fern Canyon. Fern Canyon is a huge draw, families and kids everywhere. But sooo beautiful that is worth the crowds. I highly recommend this trail to anyone who is interested in a 6 hour hike.

Love this to take friends who can’t walk far. Loop trail goes through quiet green forest with ferns, creeklets, and yes Big trees.

Number one favorite trail to take non hikers so they can still get a sense of walking through the majestic giant Redwoods. Beautifully maintained. Crowded in summer. Pit toilets at parking.

What a beautiful hike, I went the full loop with my cousin and mother and it was a blast. Tons of wildlife, trees, and adventures await anyone who might be looking to do this hike! I vlogged the whole thing, you can check it out on youtube! --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGjE49vslpU

good hike this one, and seldom used compared to others , and this the one that can kick your butt lol so fun .. great mix of everything , creeks , ridges ,has it all

good trail , bit more rugged than rest the park , more diverse forests as well .. every trail in the park is awesome can't go wrong , link em together long , short just get out there

this trail puts u right in the heart of some amazing stands of some the last old growth redwoods left in the world .. worth a view

great warm up or beginner trail , or for older folks and kids .. or those family memebers who arent supoer into the woods lol .. get out here they'll fall in love .. very easy trail , well maintained with lots to see and enjoy

love this park , every trail here is a blast !! can go wrong ,...this one is a great overall coastal redwood experience.. easy miles too , for most ,not a ton of elevation change , ground is soft , contours well and amazing views , so miles roll by ...

Short but gorgeous trail. Shoes got wet as most of the trail is through a river at the bottom of the canyon (ankle-deep water)

Ran this loop with a couple friends. We were not fast because we had to keep stopping to soak in the stunning scenery. Beautiful loop!

It is an easy walk for all abilities. The trees were not as big as we expected as this is not one of those forests. It was not crowded as we only saw two other people when we hiked it, on a Friday afternoon. We hiked the Boy Scout Tree Trail the next day. That trail is much more impressive!

Loved it hiking and camping and fishing was the best!

Great long trail thought the trees. Pretty quiet, most of the people I ran into were on the beach or in fern canyon. Bring sandals for fern canyon, I went barefoot through the water and it worked out. Hard to make good time because I always had to stop to look around.

Beautiful trail with some of the tallest redwoods. Best part of the trail was Fern Canyon. It was fun to traverse through the fallen trees while crossing the canyon. I’d recommend waterproof shoes for this part of the trail.

Great hike, I wouldn’t consider this a hard hike, if you did it as a day hike like I did maybe it could be rated as hard but, regardless it was amazing and seemed fairly easy

Backpacked this trail on 5/6-5/7, we actually took Miner's Ridge to Gold Bluffs beach about 5 miles in 5 out. Very gorgeous trail. Lots to see every corner you turn, i actually backpacked to Elam Camp via Orick Horse Trail the same day 8 mile out, even tho i was tired i still enjoyed the hike. Being able to have a change of scenery from the mountains to the beach was very soothing, the beach and ocean was phenomenal especially during sunset. There is also a herd of elk there so becareful.

Loved it. Hike was easy but wet. It feels like you stepped back in time entering the canyon. Definitely work seeing.

Super short and easy walk through some old growth. Great if you don’t have a ton of time!

Beautiful little hike and a good taste of Redwood National Parks. But there are much better trails to see!
