Nice short hike. Went on a Wednesday so there was barely anyone. Waterfall is super full. There was some areas where we had to climb over big tree trunks.

One of my favorite hikes! If you want to miss the crowds go early.

We stayed the night at Garnet lake VIA the JMT back in 2017. when we came up on Thousand Island and we knew we had to come back someday. We will be hiking back up from Silver lake this July. Can anyone tell us where is a good safe place to park for the trip? Thanks.

Easy hike with big rewards! Bang for the buck.

JUST BECAUSE YOUR DOG IS FRIENDLY TO OTHER DOGS DONT MEAN EVERYONE ELSE'S IS
I decided to take my dog (100 lbs American pit friendly to ppl not other dogs) seeing that dogs were allowed ON LEASHES I figured this wouldn't be a problem being the other dogs (if any or so I thought) would be on leashes as well. I can control my dog so it no problem ,but boy was I wrong! thankfully nothing serious happened but a lot of stupid ppl seem to ignore the leash rule. I get it it's fun to see ur dog roam freely, but u have to realize JUST BECAUSE YOUR DOG IS FRIENDLY TO OTHER DOGS DONT MEAN EVERYONE ELSE'S IS! 4 times I had to stop my dog from almost getting into a fight with other dogs because their stupid owners thought they were PRIVILEGED enough to ignore that rule

Trail north of the highway Trailhead is not currently accessible without crossing a fast flowing stream. South half of trail is fine.

My Wife and I took the trailhead from just past Millers Landing going towards The Forks. The hike overall was great but we did not quite make it all the way to the lookout as it was late in the day and the trail had not been cleared from the winter. The trail markers were not great so be sure to upload this app before you go. We went approximately 2.5 miles up the gradual but fairly steep narrow trail, climbing over multiple fallen trees, and through narrow patches that seemed almost unused for years. 5.0 miles round trip including a picnic lunch at a clearing about 1.75 miles in, at a leisurely pace took approximately 2 hrs., winds were kicking up and clouds moving in so it was time for a shorter hike around Rocky Point then a few pints of the local brew at Miller's Landing, Overall a great hike and a great day at Bass Lake ..

This a good easy hike if you are around the area, about 30 min or less from Oakhurst. As of May 2018 the road is clear of snow and dry up to Fresno Dome. There is also a trail that leads to the base of the dome for climbing.

It is a must-do mountain biking trail whenever you are in the area.

Nice and peaceful trail. However, towards the end we came to private property and the owner had a pitbull which was not on a leash and some what frightened us. The dog followed us for about 30 sections barking then left us alone. Besides that trail was good!

Very enjoyable hike featuring views of Shuteye mountain

Beautiful hike with gorgeous waterfalls.

Absolutely incredible waterfalls! Hiked this trail on April 1, and the water was roaring. It was a busy weekend in the area but there weren’t too many people on the trail. If you’re in the Yosemite area I’d say this is a must do! No fee, dogs on leash allowed. Well maintained trail.

It's a nice hike! bring some insect repellant...

I’ve done this hike before and LOVED it, today we went up and the road is still too snowy to get up (even with 4WD), we saw a car with chains get stuck. Will try back next month!

We parked near the trail head. Sun and snow made beautiful pictures. Creek runs on the side of the trail. We turned around half way, because couldn’t cross the river. Main waterfall is very pretty, however more people. While hiking to Waterfall was not a sole on a Sunday. Going downhill on way back.

The first time I did this hike, I was 10 years old and I never forgot it. It remains branded in my head. Now, I’m in my 50’s and its beauty hasn’t changed.

This is a great trail from Fall until hit starts hitting the 90s. It's even better after a light snow. Full trail starts at Cedar Valley but if you want a shorter hike then there is another trailhead further up HW41 that is about the halfway point to red rock falls at the end of this trail.

so pretty, especially with the light snow we got covering the ground!

Perfect Sunday hike. Subtract .4 miles from our total due to initially missing the initial right turn up the hill. There was a lot of snow going uphill but was not difficult to walk through and most had melted on our return down the hill. I would rate this hike as easy due to the very gradual climb out to the watch tower. 10.3 total.

Loved this trail! The views were amazing. Lots of inclines, definitley got my heart pumping.

Was a very nice hike. Didn’t feel as long as it is. We did have to deal with some snow flurries early on but worth it!

Beautiful trail. Some steep inclines but manageable with rest areas, maybe too steep for little ones. Wooden balcony/lookout point with benches at water fall/midpoint.

We started on Cedar Valley Dr.. nice hike not to crowded in the am but got busy as the day went on.... A few changes in elevation other then that pretty easy .. waterfalls were pretty cool

One of the most rewarding views ever!

Great hike, little hard to find the real beginning (on Cedar Valley Dr) instead of the halfway point right off the 41. But either way great hike with plenty of steps and areas to rest and enjoy the falls.

Very fun day hike with lots of views of the water
