It was a cool short hike.

Parked near the end of Rowland Blvd, so no fees and easy to find the trail. No water in July, but plenty of shade. Might have heard a coyote howl a couple of times. Our dog loved it.

Short but nice trail

Fun, good climb, narrow in spots.

Very easy and mostly shaded! Nice little creek at the northern part of trail. Love the history lesson before the walk. Great for little ones! If mosquitoes are attracted to you, do not forget the bug repellent! Lol

The waterfall was amazing and cooooold. I went with my dog and there were many friends for him to play with. The only downside was the amount of people, however that’s with all beautiful hiking trails. 10/10 I would recommend heading on down there when the waters running.

Lovely little valley! Easy walk and dog friendly. The falls is actually signed as Buck Gulch Falls.

Lots of greenery. Waterfall is best after rain. By 11 am lots of people on a Saturday.

The trail was pretty easy to find and navigate. Our Golden puppy brought back 6 ticks!

Perfect springtime moderate level hike with a variety of terrain. There was a small creek, a little waterfall, plenty of beautiful moss covered trees, and some killer views from the top of the Jack Burgi trail (that is where you’ll find wildflowers). Every horse and dog on trail was happy and friendly. And despite being moderately trafficked, we still spotted deer tracks and bear scat!

Beautiful day with a lovely waterfall and a great view atop one of the side trails. Good incline. Was easy even with a little muddy conditions.

A nice walk with lots of birds and butterflies. Find a bathroom before you get there. We found no facilities. The visitor center was not open Sunday, 2/25/18. Lots of historical buildings and a few teepees would keep kids busy exploring. We’ll go again. The views are lovely.

Gorgeous! cant believe Ive lived so close and never gone. They do close the gates at 5pm, unlike other parks, so make sure to calculate your time especially if you want to do the upper ridge. Second favorite part of this hike was the shade. 2/12 I needed and long sleeve and a light jacket. But I could imagine how refreshing in the summer this hike would be. And all the pictures are right on

Good hike. Great for family time and adventure.

very nice and shaded. my 2.5 was able to walk most of it.

Beautiful trail with great views of the mountains and Novato below. Great for dogs too!

This was an absolute oversight on my part, but I wouldn't recommend going during the summer as there is no water at the waterfall! Definitely would recommend this trail for an easy hike with a small pup. He loved it.

Fun, moderate hike. Best in spring or winter.

Great for a short hike or not enough time for a longer hike.

I'm sure this spot is great after it's been raining, but there was nothing special about this trail. It was all dry & no waterfall. I don't like hiking places unless theirs water so I was disappointed.

No waterfall in July. Only for two weeks after it stops raining, said some helpful locals.

Great trail. A few fallen trees on the trail that need to be removed. Otherwise these are hazardous.

Beautiful walk. Mostly uphill on the way in, but not steep. It's dry right now so the waterfall is more of a trickle. Lots of mosquitoes. We stopped at the waterfall to take pics for about 5 min and I got bit 4 times. Will definitely go again.

I drove all the way out here to find out it was on campus and I'd have to pay for parking. I like to hike because it's free. I just wish it had been mentioned in the description before I hoofed it up here without money. :(

First hike with the kiddos. Muddy trail due to recent rain. All had wet socks, muddy shoes and paws.

What amazing hike. It was beautiful, challenging and completely worth it!! Highly recommended.

Beautiful hike to an adorable waterfall! This is a short, but sweet hike with beautiful greenery and streams throughout the hike. Dog friendly and very well maintained.
