awesome experience

Not good for horses. We had to turn back half way through because the bridge is not safe for horses to cross and the prickly berry bushes make crossing anywhere else impossible. I am sure it would be a very nice trail on foot, however, not suitable for horses as described on this website.

This was a very nice trail to a peaceful lake. The dog absolutely loved it!

The falls were amazing, somewhat confusing to get to. No marked areas from the gate to get to the falls, but well worth the bumpy road!!!

This trail is definitely a must. I made it in my bone stock ‘03 4Runner with street tires. A good spotter helps a ton on the last half mile or so. Definitely go up early. I started at 6:30pm and barely got to the top at about 8ish while the sun was setting. Had to hustle back down for the gnarly stuff but other than that amazing trail.

Took my 6 year old son. He had no trouble. Super fun and scenic trail. Bring plenty of bug spray and water. And be careful where u swim. Current is very deceiving.

That trail is an easy walk. It is a wide paved road most of the way, appears to be an access road as it runs along the flume from dam down. Not much exciting to see along the way. Would be easy for small children or older ones.

Very bumpy road thru burned forest, leading to the trailhead (sedan is ok); then you walk thru nice evergreen forest, on the dirt road to the beautiful waterfall.

The falls is awesome!

Great little trail, suitable for children. Green and lush in springtime, so much so that it’s a bit hard to follow in places. Suggestion: Take the trail clockwise from the beginning!

Lots of great off road trails and a nice place to bring the family!

this is another great trail. those boy scouts cleaned it up nice and there are little information plaques along the trail that talk about the different trees and such and the logging mill history. there's some new benches made of logs their cute.

I live in North fork and this is by fast my favorite hike. they put chain link up to block it off most of it is passable but the last part at the waterfall is a bit tricky tho get around but doable if you can climb a bit. I think by putting that chainlink up makes it more dangerous cuz ppl are going to try to get around it and could be an accident waiting to happen. not sure why they are more forceful about keeping ppl out this is an amazing hike ❤ it.

warning I love this hike in spring but PGE has now put fences up and do not enter at every crossway and trail to it. SO they don't want anyone on it anymore. So Sad you would need to climb over several fences to go back

Good trail for the dogs and the kids Bathroom on site and picnic tables.

Very nice trail. Great easy hike and has awesome views.

A nice meander with easy elevation changes. Benches and plant identification signs added recently.

Neat easy trail with a bathroom and bbq sites. Nice lake and cool history to this trail from the 1930s.

Trail is closed per signs posted. You are unable to hike the trail and doing so is trespassing. Do so at your own risk. you can walk down the trail across from this one, passed the driving gate and you are atop the bass lake dam. Theres beautiful views. It makes up for this trail being closed.
