It's a little too easy but I brought someone who is not an experienced hiker & this was perfect. You can get in at least 5 miles & there is hardly anyone on this trail.

Great hike. Took about 2 hrs round trip. It’s actually more than 4.5 mi. A little over 5 mi. according to our calculations. Some views, some shade, a nice stream, a few bridges. Nice variety.

We had hiked Crystal Cove a few times and enjoyed it. I did a quick google search and came across this one and I had never heard of it. We parked on San Joaquin Rd., our total hike was 4.9 miles. We were pleasantly surprised with the shade that the nearby hills and the trees provided...about half the hike was shaded. It was great to hear the water running...we were curious as to the origin of the water. The sound of the birds added to the experience. A downfall would be the narrow paths that you have to share with mountain bikers. It was awesome to see the view of the Pacific toward the end of our hike. Overall, it was a pleasant hidden gem.

I guess how you feel about this place depends on how you plan to use it. Could be fun on a bike (track bike) since it is all paved and don't have to worry about lots of traffic. Could be good for a family with young kids since and a stroller would be feasible. Could be good for joggers. I went with my dog to hike and there are no dirt trails, there is excessive debris in the water/plants and there is a funky sewage smell in places.

Easy trail with kids

Fun beautiful hike!! Love it

One side of loop doesn’t allow cars and the other side only allows cars in one direction so it’s a very calming/peaceful walk, run or bike ride. Very flat except in one small/short area. Nice waterway views all along trail.

Beautiful quiet trail. Has shaded areas, not much elevation gain, beautiful views of bridges.
Will be back again. #52hikechallenge

One of my favorites. Great views of the ocean.

a wonderful open space ocean view hike

Great place to camp overnight.

Cool trail. Be in shape! Says mtn bike but we saw some strugglers! Narrow and rocky parts. Head towards beach first instead of along 73.

Absolutely love this trail , cool shady and verily easy , not really a hike but a great workout !

A quick and easy walk. Not much challenge to it. Nice little creek to have a picnic at on it.

Love this trail.

wouldn't describe as hard, more moderate.

This is a fantastic cool-weather workout hike! Totally exposed trails through sagebrush hills with sweeping ocean views all the way to Catalina and Palos Verdes. If you follow the loop on here going down (and then back up) the Ticketron Trail, be warned that the inclines will be a *workout*, especially for beginners. For an easier hike, stick to just the ridge trails. With easy street parking and no entrance fee, you definitely want to try this one out!

This was a nice trail, the only downside is how narrow the path is. Be on the lookout for people on their bikes and also for rattle snakes! Also if you plan on going when it’s hot, be aware it is not very shady.

I have directions for a nice 3 mile loop on HikingGuy dot com

Lovely weather made us seek a local trail for Sunday morning hike. This trail is narrow (which we didn't like) but went through pretty scenery and just the amount of light elevation I was seeking. Friendly people, and cyclists sharing the trail. Not my favorite hike, but nice enough to do again if we have limited time.

There are actually lots of well marked trails through this hiking park. We parked at the bottom in the state park lot (for a fee) but thoroughly enjoyed the hours we spent exploring. Recommend taking "No Name Ridge" trail up and cutting across on Ticketron to Rattlesnake which are narrower trails. We finished going down the bottom of the canyon and out.

great place for a walk, a jog, a hike, a run.. everything!

Nice views from Rattlesnake trail. Bring plenty of water, this is a hot hike with no shade!

Very quiet and easy hike.

A whatever trail. Nothing interesting about it.

The bridge is closed. But a good path is closer to the water. If you do all the loops it will in zigzag fashion 6miles
