It’s a good trail but there were a few path that ended in a dead end.
Not for beginners I think.
Over all...it’s good. Very secluded and definitely will be back when I’m in a better shape :))

Workout cut short due to coyotes. Be Cautious!

First let me start by saying I'm a big boy. I just recently found the attractiveness of hiking. I started today at 730 on the trail thinking I was going to do like MAYBE 5 miles. but the scenery inticed me. The ease of these trails, and we'll marked, we'll maintained. And if need be the benches placed all over for various reasons basically for observation and reflection. I even started to jog on the trail... don't laugh but it's been awhile. Hardly saw anyone on these tasks which made it easy not to be embarrassed by my efforts. 3 1/2 hrs later I hiked 10.5 MILES... so many things to keep you stimulated... adobe houses, grassy plains, and seasonal pools. The Adobe loop has many trees, water, bridges, and was worth that extra trek. Again, super easy and totally worth it... you'll end up adding additional trails to this hike... I GUARANTEE IT

Very nice moderate trail system. It has many single tracks and double tracks to stay entertained. A good trail to start mnt biking or train.

The system has some jumps and tight corners to get some experience.

There are still several closed trails. Signage can be improved.

5/29/18 - Came across a small (one-foot or so) rattlesnake laying in the middle of the trail five minutes in. Later in the day was followed by a coyote. No clue how long he was back there. We were two people with two large dogs, but it was still unnerving.

Trail is unmarked and a bit hard to follow. Seeing the Cross at the top was worth the perseverance though!

I’ve been doing a lot of mountain biking and some hiking on this trail a dozen times. You have to take note this trail does not have any trees so don’t expect any shade along the trail. It’s best to do early morning or evening time to avoid heat since it doesn’t have shade.
The map on this trail a shorter one but if you want to do longer one you can do that too at about 2 miles. Once you on the top, it a great 360 degrees view over Murrieta and temecula valley.

Easy trail for beginners

Easy hike but today was way too hot when without shards!!!

Beautiful day. Easy horse trails. Nice parking area but can fill up quick. Map quest tried to get us lost take Clinton Keith it takes you right to parking lot. Only downfall as an Equestrian is that you share the trails with bicycles most are very respectful.

Great place to hike this trail and many others offer a look at old California

A couple survey markers (I found 3) up on Monument hill.

Went on a Saturday, started around 8:30am and finished just before 11am. Great trail, some really beautiful scenery. Trails are well kept and only a couple rocky spots, mostly on the Los Santos loop. For a Saturday there wasn't very many people. Not counting the Vernal Pool area (which was completely dried up) I saw only about 6 or 7 people the whole time on the trail. Even though it is rated moderate, it's a great beginners trail.

Nice, easy hike. Be cautious of mountain bikers!

Kind of lame.. I couldn’t figure out if I was on the right trail.. and couldn’t figure out if it looped all the way around.. I won’t go back

Lots of trails, nice place to hike and go running. dirt paths are wide.

This is one of my favorite trails to run.

Fun, easy hike for my 10 & 8 year old sons and our golden retriever! Love the tiny off shoot trails... gorgeous scenery and easy to access. Priced kind of high but we enjoyed ourselves!

who really love of mother nature, this is the quite perfect and secure.

Hiked on 3/7, great route. Only encountered a couple other people, most of the route it feels like you've got the place to yourself. I suggest extending (only .2 mi!) to the vernal pools boardwalk. Opposed to what's said in one of the previous reviews, according to all the signage dogs are NOT allowed on this trail or on this side of the Reserve at all-- although you wouldn't know it due to the poo unfortunately left behind. Dogs are however allowed right across the street on the sylvan-meadows side. Not a whole lot of elevation gain overall, but there are some steeper/rocky spots, so not stroller friendly. Interesting seeing areas of charred grasses-- maybe controlled burns? Trail goes through grassy areas to rocky/wooded areas, a mix of both which is cool. Very well marked, super appreciated compared to other local trails. Love the versatility of the trails on the Plateau, allowing for adjusting your route to make shorter/longer as you wish. Maps available at parking lots. Keep in mind there is a day fee.

This trail was awesome! It definitely had it’s tough moments but it rewards you with its beautiful views and it’s open meadows. Don’t pass up on this trail.

$4 per person. Plenty of parking on a Sunday. Not a lot of people. Easy terrain. Went to the adobe and back.

Great, beginner short loop to do with kids.

Did this with a jogging stroller on the main trails and it was great, there was only one spot where we had to pick up the stroller and carry it over maybe like 20 feet of rocky terrain then back down.

The beginning was boring but towards the middle area was awesome with lots of trees and rock's. didn't like the fact that we had to pay to hike

Beautiful view of the snow capped mountains. Kind of busy on the weekend and parts of the trail can be a bit narrow.

great time ,kids loved it ,beautiful place that's local and easy for my 4 and 5 ur. old to walk

This is a beautiful hike with well maintained trails. A lot of interesting sights. No cell service though so don’t rely on your phone for a guide (our mistake).
