Very nice moderate trail system. It has many single tracks and double tracks to stay entertained. A good trail to start mnt biking or train.

The system has some jumps and tight corners to get some experience.

There are still several closed trails. Signage can be improved.

Trail is unmarked and a bit hard to follow. Seeing the Cross at the top was worth the perseverance though!

I’ve been doing a lot of mountain biking and some hiking on this trail a dozen times. You have to take note this trail does not have any trees so don’t expect any shade along the trail. It’s best to do early morning or evening time to avoid heat since it doesn’t have shade.
The map on this trail a shorter one but if you want to do longer one you can do that too at about 2 miles. Once you on the top, it a great 360 degrees view over Murrieta and temecula valley.

Really basic hike. Because it's so basic, there can tend to be a lot of people on the trail. there are longer, quieter options that end up at the falls, just stop at one of the alternate points before the main lot for the falls trail.

Beautiful trail. Water wasn't running hard down the falls but it is definitely a must see.. lots of blue bellies, huge tad poles, and a salamander swimming in one of the pools in the fall.. Amazing views at the top! We will be back!

All up hill to get to the falls but great views at the top. Bring extra socks Incase you slip in the pools. I know I have.

Kind of lame.. I couldn’t figure out if I was on the right trail.. and couldn’t figure out if it looped all the way around.. I won’t go back

It was mostly closed off when we went so we just hiked our own trail. Not really a good hike if it’s closed off so probably won’t go back.

Good quick trail !

Hike was short but nice! The only thing is the road to get there is VERRYY NARROW so be cautious and go slow. You have to cross a river not even knees deep to get to the trail that leads to the waterfall. Our pup took a nap when we got there and the hike back was easy.

Great local hike. Good for older children, strollers would not work on the trail back to the falls. There was some water flowing which is really fun to see, watch out for slippery rocks though! Two of my kiddos slipped on rocks and got soaked, but they didn’t mind. Found some broken glass on the trail so watch your step and PLEASE pack out whatever you bring in!

Super easy family friendly hike. The narrow 5 mile road that you take there takes longer than the actual hike. A little bit of water at the falls now. The rocks up there are super slippery so watch your lils! Fun river area to explore as well. The bits of graffiti and trash we saw were a bummer! Oh, and lots of poison oak right now!

Very nice trial, road getting there was a little scary but it was definitely worth it seeing the falls!

Nice, open space views, lots of scat and motor bikes disturbed our walk.

Fun single track once you find it! Lots of dirt roads which weren't as fun. Had to wade through knee deep water to get out. I'd do it for a daily quick workout.

Trail is not clearly marked. We overcame that by using the App as a guide. Great incline which led to an amazing 360 degree view of Temecula/Murrieta Valley. FYI...No shade and loose powder dirt.

Awesome little hiking spot. Fairly clean considering it’s close proximation to the suburbs. I do this one often because of the steep inclines, it’s great preparation trail for backpacking. No shade at all, but it is only 1.5 miles so don’t plan on being in this trail long.

This was a nice trail even off season. We went on a hot Black Friday. It was 86.

Amazing, beautiful views, was able to get lost and get in tuned with nature without having to drive far away from the city.

Not a good trail !

cool place if you want to train.
plenty of different options!
Not the "hike" for an adventure seeker.
But it's great for exercise!
I loved running up the hill and through the trails

I have done this trail and the surrounding trails numerous times and although this one is short, depending on when you go it is the best one! In spring the water runs and is significantly deeper, in fall and winter on occasion the waterfall will be running and it's a quick hike full of great views. Today it's dry, but I'm sure the storms coming in will fix that!

Many of the trails that access the center of the preserve are closed for re-vegetation. One can walk the fence line perimeter. Not a bad workout.

There were some very rough spots - very steep. But it was fun running down the steep areas to get enough speed to run up the next hill.

Would definitely rate most of the trails here for hiking as hard rather than moderate, just because of a dozen or so VERY steep hills. We came across mountain bikers who had to walk their bikes uphill at one point. But, if you're in decent shape then it's definitely doable to hike the entire 6 or so miles, and it's a great workout in a pretty location.
