This hike is short, but steep. You gain great vistas of the major Southern California Mountains and their respective ranges. Even in August, the temperatures cool down enough to hike it just before sunset, or in the cool of the morning. The hike offers incredible views of the San Gabriels and Bernardinos begin almost immediately. From the top you get clear shots of Jacinto, Gorgonio, and Baldy. Watching the sunset from this spot is exhilarating.Show more

Fairly easy. Trail is wide and smooth enough for a car to drive on 99% of the way. Modest elevation gain is the only challenge factor, and little shade. Hawks, lizards, grasshoppers, butterflies. Flowers in spring. Nice views. Show more

Gravel trail and ends with a dirt hill up in the mountain the only challenging part of this trail you can easily avoid it by turning around and go back the same route. Is very easy to follow and not get lost. good for the Family and dogs on leash . No shade so be prepared of the sun unless you go early or evening time. It has disable parking and water access in the beginning of parking area. Good and relaxing You can park in the neighborhood if gate is close( there is still access to trail if that gate is close.) The gate is usually open on the weekends.Show more
