The trail is connected to a really well maintained network of pavement and gravel on the sides if you dont like running on pavement. I didn't run the trail, I just ran around and checked things out. There are a moderate amount of people but they are all respectful towards others enjoying themself on the trail.

I took my bike during the day and there was moderate traffic. It was very scenic, beautiful.....lots to look at. There is some shade but not all of it. I didn't see too many homeless but not all homeless people are bad! I have heard it can be pretty dangerous on this trail though ..so be careful! overall it was a very chill day!!

Not much of a hike. More of a bikers & joggers trail. also more of a ditch and not a river. Looks like sewer water honestly lol. Too many fox tails for dogs to be around. Moderate to high traffic. Lots of homeless people between bridges and walking around on the trail. Not much of a view but we did see a snake on the trail.

Like most places in Modesto you are bound to run into some homeless people/drug-abusers but they generally stay to their own business. Gangs are everywhere near ‘Airport’ area so be aware. Dont bring valuables, dont come at night, be careful were you park and dont come alone (females). Other than that it’s a nice walk with some shade and some areas with no shade. You can reach the Mitchell bridge (homeless camp though). Wish the city would do something to clean the rivers and improve8 outdoor areas (maybe obesity-rates and land value would improve)

You can't bike the whole loop. The second part of the loop is badly kept. Don't try it.

I love the beauty and resiliency of dry creek. It is a peaceful place in Modesto to spend time at. I have been coming here for over 20 years and still find it so beautiful. It's awesome for biking, jogging, walking, or frisbee golf:) It is a bummer to see more trash and garbage discarded without concern than in the past but that seems to be more common in most parks in Modesto. My kids and I are partial to squirrels so walking and watching is so exciting here because it's a squirrel haven:)

Sunday afternoon run was great!

Paved, sparsely used trail in a green belt along the power lines. The area is not well maintained and several homeless individuals were camped along the path, but the pavement is in good condition for biking or walking. Level path connects with the Virginia Corridor Parkway, which could add another 5+ miles of distance. Several street crossings along the way usually aren't a big deal.

This is a paved 5.4-mile trail (out and back) that used to be a railroad track. It's essentially flat except for one bridge over the road. There are a number of smaller road crossings with crosswalks and signals. Though it goes through town, it's peaceful with some separation from the neighborhoods that surround it. Several parks can be found along the trail. Bikes and strollers can easily maneuver here. It's a great community amenity.

Great escape!

It’s nice to have a bike trail close to home, but I have to stop frequently to cross major streets (Tully) and intersections (Standiford/Shawnee) . Really awkward turn at Conan’s Ave. It’s pretty clean and mostly friendly people, not very busy.

Better for walking/jogging than biking. To many crosswalks across city streets.

Really fun place to go, the best place is behind the golf course

Cars, houses, etc... not a nature walk but if you live near by and need a place to walk/run it will do.

I'ts a shithole, transiant paradise!

Saw the sign on the end of Coffee Rd last week so i decided to do it. No markers other than at the beginning so I hiked the widest points of both side and didn't do much asphalt. Enjoyed the single tracks and looks like a decent place to play frisbee golf

Nice peaceful trail between the Tuolumne River and the back of the Modesto Airport. Nice river views. The 1st part of the park has lawn and a playground and the back 2/3 is natural with mostly oaks and a few walnut trees. Saw a few people fishing and a few homeless in the area.

Very nice clean area to walk, bike or wheel along in your chair. It has a pretty good amount of shade and is used by a lot of people but mostly women. I saw a lot of moms with strollers. It connects with some shaded neighborhoods that I noticed a lot of people were using as well. It also goes by a couple of city parks. This used to be an old railway and is signed with plaques everywhere. There are metal benches and picnic tables every few hundred yards.

This is hidden gem in Modesto. Love the single tracks along the creek. Great trails along the way. Lots of walkers, runners, and bicycles if you come early. The bathroom is clean near the basketball courts. Lots of homeless people near the park if you come later. They seem to be living all along the creek. I would not come alone.

City bike path that goes over the top of underground Hetch Hetchy water delivered to Crystal Springs for San Francisco's drinking water. It's also a power line corridor. Clean path with no homeless seen including the 2 parks it goes beside. Asphalt path that goes along in a constant ssss. It goes past Chrysler 99 Park and Wesson Ranch Park. Decent place for the locals to walk.

One of the best of the dz trails I've done in the area over the last 10 days. Not much to choose from in the summer in the flatland. The best parts of the hike were the side trails that the mountain bikers have done and keep up. I would've rated this higher if there weren't so many homeless people living here and using it for their dump... The backside between the 2 pedestrian bridges shouldn't be done by women or children. Sketchy at best... The creek itself looks like a chemical wasteland. Heard one frog jump. 97 when I got off the trail...

I agree this is a ditch not a river. The only time it could be considered a creek is when there is an abundance of rain. Then there is the issue of homeless and drug users. I’ve lived in this area for over 30 years and every year seems worse then the year before. Don’t waste your time!

Sunday morning, plenty of walkers, bikers, dig walking etc. felt completely safe.

Easy walking trail. It’s all cement so it makes it pretty easy to walk.. just watch out for the homeless people some will decide to pee down the river or hide there to do drugs. which is gross if you want to go down to see the river. Keep them out please...
