Easy hike with big payoff of views. Great view of El Capitan.

Not too crowded when my sister and I went in May. It was quite an incline but very beautiful and peaceful at the top.

Quite a nice hike through the forest however the bugs are bad, very bad! We decided to keep going toward May Lake as the mosquitos were just too much on the way to Pollydome. Found a fabulous granite shelf to have lunch and take in the views of the valley.

This hike was surprisingly beautiful and away from the crowds. We went to watch the sunset & star gaze. There were a handful of people there, but we were alone not long after the sun started going down. Not a very difficult hike for someone in average shape. Very short & not too much of an uphill climb. Definitely suggest passing the general parking area for the trail and continuing down the road just a bit until you get to a service road on the left hand side. There is a small parking area directly across the street. You can hike this service road right up to the trail which will cut a good portion of the distance off of your hike:-) The 360 degree view of Yosemite is well worth it! Just stunning!

Did this as part of a much longer hike from the valley. Awesome but it was pretty low light through this section. One of my favorite golden retreivers was named after this hike. I miss Tenaya!

Love this hike! Beautiful view! Bit of a rush to stand near the edge!

Great little walk for an amazing view of Half Dome and the valley floor.

Great little hike! Pretty leisurely most of the way, the last little stretch is more difficult because it gets really steep but that only lasts a couple minutes while you get to the summit.

Great hike, Sequoias are amazing!

Really enjoyed how scenic this trail was. Great for kids! The two twin bridges were lovely and after a warm day it was nice to hang out in the river before finishing up the trail. We even saw donkeys passing though on the bridge. The meadow is breathtaking.

Great views. It’s a great trail of you are a little short on time. It’s not as crowded as the trails from the valley floor.

An amazing hike that’s fairly simple with lots of water. I hiked it about 5 years ago as there was a heat wave. Be prepared for all kinds of weather. It was worth it though!

Amazing views!

Awesome trees...
And trail. Hiked this one long before Alltrails existed.

I went on Saturday 7th July (i.e. when the park is v busy) and it was pretty quiet. The trail does get very hot during the day but it’s a nice trail that takes you past lots of the scenic spots as well as away from the crowds. You’re standing at the bottom of El Cap without a person in sight!

Easy hike but beware of a bear that has been seen around the area after you turn right at the sight of sentinel dome.

Very easy paved trail, done several years ago! Very very crowded. Not the way I like to enjoy nature but is great for all skill levels and the falls are pretty. Just felt very much like a "tourist attraction".

Enjoyable hike. Easy scramble up the dome and down the backside towards the river. Trail that skirts the eastern edge of the dome is easy to pick up and follow back to the road. Beautiful views of Unicorn Peak, the Cockscomb, and Echo Peaks and ridge.

Lovely swimming spot, but cold! Also beware of the fast currents.

Soooooooo.....I guess we didn't take the trail up.
But we definitely took it back down. It was nice. The views are great, I love how you can see sparkly Tioga Road winding through the trees and the mountains in the distance. Peaceful, we got lucky and it wasn't cherry crowded at the top.

Our first warm up hike last week in Yosemite. Seeing any Giant Sequoia is worth the hike. Paved road as a trail. Only a hand full of giant Sequoias. If you like this hike you’ll love Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia.

Did this short trek a week ago and was one of the most amazing places I’ve ever seen or experienced. The largest Giant Sequoia (giant Grizzly) is thought to be 1,900 to 2,000 years old. A must do when in Yosemite!

Great places to swim

Easy hike with my family. My 8 and 9 year old boys did great! Hiked right up without having to take any breaks, other than to snap a few pictures. Beautiful views from up top. Well worth it!

Not worthwhile unless you have nothing else to do. The trail is very exposed. Do it in early morning or late afternoon.

Great hike among trees over 2000 years old. The fire marks are for the Sequoias’ benefit as they thrive in normal fire cycles of about 20 years and their bark offers fire resistance. Last controlled burn was in 2000.

2.2 mile hike round trip. Minimal effort with amazing views. If you have time, do Taft’s Point trail too. It’s only 2.2 round trip too from same trail head starting point.
