This is good of you want to try out your bike ( your kids) or do. A run in a close but safe area :) and it’s off to other trials but this is a gated trails it’s still a nice hike they have restrooms half way /threw along with water (nice picture backgrounds on the bridge ;) of LA when leaving depends if you got out going upwards you go right under the Hollywood sign / good hiking area too (

Very nice trail, easy to walk and nice view of city.

Great hike.My Wife and I are in pretty good shape and got in a seriously good work out. Saw Hollywood sign from top and bottom. Both incredible views. Bring plenty of water. The water spouts along the way were not working, they look like old pipes that are probably unreliable. There are an incredible amount of intersections on this trail. There is even a 5 point intersection.I used my all trails pro gps app and just tracked ourselves and checked at various points along the way.Its a good thing I did because some trails do not reconnect with each other and you will end up in a different area of the park! No shade but amazing breeze.Plenty of free parking.

Don’t believe the pictures. If you follow the highlighted trail it DOES NOT take you in front of the Hollywood sign. You get a quick side view. Otherwise, the overlooks are nice and it’s a good workout.

This is a great adventure.. you need to have good shoes lots of dust and water. We saw rattle snakes so no flip flops...

I liked nice view and very quiet, easy to find parking

We took the trail from the north entrance of TCyn (Braude Park), and didn’t how long it was. There was so much mist that we couldn’t see 20 feet in front of us. We finally reached a place to get out of the trail and thanks to a nearby sign .08 mile to hub, we were able to find our way out of the park. Lovely, but long hike. Brings lots of water, hat, and snacks.

Great moderate hike to bring out of town guests. However, if out of shape, it may be difficult. It’s up hill at beginning and end.

best hike ever

this was more of a walk than a hike very flat and pretty much asphalt all the way around and the fence didn't help the view at all but we still had a good time

It’s a great alternative to staying on the exposed fire roads though still somewhat exposed but it feels like you’re so far away from everything. And you get some nice singletrack and a bit of fireroads, small section through a neighborhood in Topanga but lots of fun.

Nice and steady trail throughout. great views of greater Los Angeles. Parking can be a hassle though.

Nice hike bit steep if you aren't used to hiking. Probably not for kids.

Water refill station at Dantes view about halfway up

We perfected the Hollywood Hills hike! This trail starts at the Hollywood Reservoir, then up to the back of the Hollywood sign and then over to the Griffith Observatory. We choose to Uber to the starting point and from the end point since it is always crowded and very hard to find a parking space.

Enjoy!

Great views. Would be great at sunset or early morning.

re: the wording "future Los Angeles River Bike Path" is incorrect. That is an equestrian trail and bicycles are not allowed in any manner, way or form - riding, pushing, carrying: NO BIKES ALLOWED. Please fix your map.

Super easy very flat partially in a neighborhood nice to take your dog on a walk.

Great hike. For beginners it will be challenging. Uphill mostly. Might be challenging for small kids. Great hike for moderate hikers. Great practice for backpacking.

Nice short trail perfect for the evening before sunset. It's fully exposed, but well maintained even after the fire. Beautiful views of the Getty & into Santa Monica. Hike around rush hour to enjoy a laugh at the shmucks sitting in traffic!

I wouldnt say this hike is 7 miles long. we parked in the parking lot right in front of the old park. it takes under 5 minutes to get too and 20 minutes to look through. there is a look out point up on the hill, which is a lot of fun to get too.

Nice urban walk on a paved bike trail following a surprisingly lush stretch of the L.A. River. On a short walk, saw lots of waterfowl: cormorants, egrets, herons, ducks. The water looked inviting, but I didn't pack my hazmat suit.

It’s a nice hike but nothing spectacular. The smell of horse poop and pee can be a little overwhelming from sunset ranch. There is no shade so avoid on hot days.

The view at the top is fantastic however. Amazing views of the Hollywood Reservoir and the view of the back of the Hollywood sign is certainly unique!

Great hike just watch out for the horse poop. minimal shade.

My first time on this trail. Was able to go to the front of the a Hollywood sign and then took the trail to behind the sign 1 additional mile loop.Could see the Hollywood reservoir. Nice views of the Griffith observatory . Great city skyline views.

Came here with a friend and it was the coolest hike I’ve done In a while!

Mostly a bike trail

This trail is filled with horse crap and is absolutely disgusting. Horse tour companies should be responsible and pick up the horse crap. Dog owners must so why cant a paid business giving tours do it. I would never recommend this trail to anyone, unless you want to fight flies, nat, and dodge horsecrap the whole time. the smell is not enjoyable either. hike at your own risk!!! only giving 1 star because I have to. the city needs to make these horse tourist responsible.
