You gotta make it to the Wisdom Tree! Bit of a tough incline but it’s worth it. And if you press on to the Hollywood sign the you can get right behind it and take some great photos. Love the American flag at the top too. God bless Hollywood and the US of A!

Super chill loop around Lake Hollywood. The fencing around the lake are not appealing but the views when you get to the bridge are nice. Cool to see the Hollywood sign with a lake in front of it. As easy as it gets so fun to take anyone along.

In June 2013 (after two years of renovation), Echo Park reopened! And as you stroll around the lake, you may notice the original water lilies have returned, too! To help with the whole experience, boats rides are available accompanied by great views of the city! Venture off into the neighborhood to the east and you can find Carroll Ave... and it's beautiful Victorian homes.

Even though you're right in the middle of the city, this is a great place to get away. To the south, beautiful skyline views tease the eyes and in the center recides the elegant Grace E. Simons Lodge. Enjoy the magnificent eucalyptus trees as you work your way to the north end of the park to be tintalated with panoramas of the San Gabriel Mountains.

did this one a few weeks back it was lovely. not too crowded.

it's a nice long trek. it isn't really that hard just long.

Trail was very confusing at points and covered with horse poop for the first 2.5 miles. Most of this hike is directly next to roads, but the zoo part is cool and the trails are pretty

We have been doing Runyon Canyon because we live on an easy access block. Every once in a while we need change the scenery so we drive 15 minutes and do something touristy and easy for us to get off the bucket. This hike is everything that is described in the description as far as we are concerned as locals. Very enjoyable.

Nice view and wild flowers. There s a part where there lots of trees. Beautiful.

Great hike. Come early!!

Great trail , amazing views!

One of my new fav LA hikes! It was awesome!! Tough incline but great work out and totally worth the view!! Wear hiking boots if you can.

this is a great trail and i always come here to run.. there's different trails for everyone to be able to do from easy to hard. if ur brave enough go to the flag would be a awesome view. i can't seem to log in my workouts anymore which sucks, does anyone know why or if they have the same problem?

It's a nice place to go for a walk , not much of a hike, during summer is really nice as they have activities for kids and Yoga.. they have a lake in the middle where you can ride some small paddle boats ( they are shaped as a goose).

They have a small Cafe and can buy some snack and even some lunch.

The only thing I don't like is there is a lot of goose poop a lot, you just have a watch where you walk..
Other then that I recommend to come and visit

Moderately crowded on a Sunday late morning. The bottom part of the loop (from trailhead to Wisdom Tree to Mt Lee) is very pretty with clear trail; backtracking and heading up the loop counterclockwise the trail isn't really much of a "trail" at all. We ended up treating the bottom part of the loop like an out and back and then after getting back to the trailhead, went out and back on the first leg of the loop (clockwise) which had better trail. Overall a really nice LA hike and a good workout.

love this trail. great view once you reach the top.

Neat family friendly path with a connection to the nostalgic Batman show; https://youtu.be/xIxRC8AQeEU

Trail is heavily utilized and well-maintained. Park Rangers were actually on the trail in a truck during the venture.
The overwhelming odor of horse droppings all along the trail make this trail a "2!"
The iconic sign is worthy of some pics, but since it's a 6 mile journey out and back, best to prepare for the odor.
Wouldn't traverse again.

Not very populated on Black Friday! Our first hike as a family with our 3m old. Great hike for families and we saw a few dogs too!

Got here round 730 ish not to crowded. This place just turned into my favorite hike! You gotta try this!!

Short fun hike to the top of Bee Rock, with great views en route and at the top. The first part is fairly easy on wide fire roads; the section to the top is on a steep single track, so you'll want to wear proper hiking shoes.

wow this was really fun for me since i have not been offroad riding much , this is my new spot forsure ! DOG OWNERS PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YO PUPS

Wow great hike and it lives up to the difficult rating. Be prepared with hiking boots and plenty of water I went to the left at the start and did the loop that way definitely will feel this one tomorrow.

Very ugly view. All you are looking at for the most part is barb wire....not inspiring. If you want to walk on sand and stare at barb wire in direct heat, this trail is for you.

Great hike with wonderful views of DTLA.
Hollywood sign right there to take it all in.
First couple of miles will have you huffing and puffing as it’s a pretty steep incline.
After that you’ll be treated to the views on your way to the sign.

I hiked what I think is this trail today, although I am having trouble reconciling the map with the description. I hiked clockwise from Mulholland to Bent Arrow to Temescal Canyon to Garapito Canyon. Bent Arrow does not follow a densely wooded creek, so there may be another trail. I did see one on the map called Bay Tree trail; however, it must be farther east on Mulholland. However, when I used GPS and compared where I was with the map, it showed where I was supposed to be. It also comes out right at Garapito. Anyway, I really enjoyed the hike. Garapito Canyon is very pretty, and would probably be quite lovely in the Spring. I think hiking this loop counterclockwise might be harder than hiking it clockwise. Otherwise it is not hard at all, if you hike at all.

Home Sweet Home!!!

This is a very nice and less talked about park in the West LA area (close to LAX!) I especially love the lake at the bottom of the hill. It was like my very own Central Park next door to me! There is also a beautiful stream w/ a small bridge next to the lake that is nice to relax at. Perfect area for picnics, bike riding, and duck gazing.

Update: I explored this trail again and discovered a beautiful Japanese garden and pond. The perfect setting for taking some nice outdoor photos, laying out on the grass, or having some zen to yourself.
