I’m new to this app, so I ended up using a different website to navigate the route. One of the staircases (#3 of 6) was blocked off because it is apparently damaged. The houses and scenery were really amazing. The staircases were temporarily brutal but not too bad. I’ll definitely be going again, and hopefully the damaged stairs will be repaired.

Beautiful views of the ocean and city. Super dog friendly. We love it!

Good, easy mellow trail with some elevation gain

Not a lot of incline of you want to have a nice long walk up a fire road .. views are amazing .. you can see the ocean all the way to Catalina island all the way back to Burbank to Woodland Hills

Great trail. Lots of dogs off leash so if that bothers you I wouldn’t recommend this trail.

Be carefully with rattlesnakes I saw a big one that almost bite our dog. Otherwise it was a beautiful day and nice hike

Easy and fun hike, there is no shade so bring sunblock. You will run into lots of tourists and teenagers taking pictures but once you keep going up you begin encountering the people that are actually there to hike. Don’t give up.

Rules state that dogs must be kept under immediate verbal control. This was not our experience, and in fact every dog we encountered rushed up to us and our dog as if entitled to greet everyone they passed. Despite our pulling off to the side to allow a safe, responsible passing with these dogs, their owners did not even attempt to keep their dogs in check. Turned back to call it a bust only to be faced with more dogs in the parking area off leash and not under any semblance of control. Might be a decent trail, but thanks to irresponsible and entitled owners with out of control dogs, we won't be going back.

Hike with mom. She is 82 years old.

Very unique hike in the Hollywood Hills. It's definitely stair(s) plural. 6 different stair cases...long steep ones!!! You also get a pretty good view of the Hollywood sign and the Observatory at certain points. The whole thing is on paved streets through a residential area though and parking is super rough.

A lot of the map stays on the fire road but there’s a pedestrian/biking trail just next to it with more elevation. Much better than walking the fire road. I ran into a very nice older couple at the turnaround. Talked about their adventures through the California mountains over the years.

Very rocky. You will slide a lot if you aren’t careful here. There’s parking on Lake Hollywood Dr for free and you have to walk through a residential area, but the sight is well-worth it. Also be warned that it’s all uphill and not very forgiving so if you were looking for something easy this is definitely not it. The peak was beautiful and can take you to the back of the Hollywood sign if you are still up for it after the climb.

Trail that leads to the 2 most popular viewpoints of the Hollywood sign. The first viewpoint which looks up at the sign is only about a mile in. The viewpoint from just above the sign is about a mile further up the trail with a good bit of incline the whole way. The trail will be filled with people, dogs, and cyclists. No shade..bring some water, sunscreen, and a hat. As a local hiker..this is definitely a one and done. Much better sights and trails to see in the Los Angeles area.

This place is great to see the whole city of L.A. It goes all way to the observatory and that's a great place to rest and take beautiful pictures.

What can I saw other than this hike/walk/stair master was absolutely awesome. The stairs get your heart pumping for sure, but between them, you walk through quiet roads nestled in the hills pretty much by yourself. Very peaceful and really nice to see all of the cool houses. Definitely one of my faves in the city and good change up from your standard hike!

the stair set up beachwood from the starting point is closed. other than that everything else is open right now and not that crowded.

Decent trail with a cool view at the end. You can see all of LA. The entire thing is a service road so it is easy to navigate. Easy-moderate hike.

A really nice trail! It’s better than what I imagined it to be. It’s comfortable to hike. We finished within 2 hrs and took great pictures along the way. There’s almost no shade in sunny day. That was a wonderful experience!
