great little trail, easy for a walk or a run. i take my dogs regularly. horses, rabbits, cyotes, ducks, cranes, hawks.... one of the best additions to the area. there are homeless in the river bed but they keep to them selves untill sundow.

I've ridden this bike path hundreds of times and it never gets old. Try to catch it during sunrise for an extra special ride. The afternoons can get busy through.

Great walk. Very clean and the walk/bike paths are separated. Parking is free until 8am, but only $1 an hour past that. I left at 7:30 am and parking lot was about 3/4 full by that time. 1/4 mile markers are in the walk path, very helpful. People were very friendly.

Very steep beginning...start slow to warm up...dusty and 76 degrees when I went - up to top and then over to towers and back. Used trekking poles which helped greatly for the steep down to parking lot. Note parking sucks 7 spots for many many hikers. Be patient for parking and beware permit parking accept those few in park spots.

Great hike though and great views!

Love this trail. Great views and separate paths for bikers and walkers/runners. Several rest rooms along the way if needed.

really nice view!

This is a decent walk, if you want to walk when there is not much people. I usually go due to the fact that there isn't any people and I take my dog off leash. Nice scenery of the dichotomy of nature and city life. Very easy walk.

Great city walk. A little scretchy on the back side (east) near the tracks but all in all, nice place. I'm going back.

Great view!

Very easy trail, great views, used the stairs for some cardio.

Lovely but crowded.

Found this to be a bit to isolated and there's some squatters that hang around. Be careful.

Nice city trail. I did this with my lab and she loved it --as she was introduced to horses up close on the back of the loop for the 1st time. I will do this again since it's close to house and gives the feeling of being away from city in some areas of the trail.

Beautiful

Peaceful quick getaway from the busy city hustle and bustle!

It's great mostly because it's close to home. But it does get crowded. Even though there's acres of empty sand, people love to conglomerate on the running and biking trails. Good three mile trail marked at every 0.25 mile and extends into the downtown/shoreline village area to the west and Belmont shore to the east.

Truly accessible with multiple entry/exits, Including switchbacks (from Ocean Blvd), from beach-level parking and from stairs. So, customizable, cool (but sunscreen necessary) and beautiful.

My first trail using this app and first time here. It was pretty nice.

It is a nice trail, very easy!
However, the rotten water smell, and the accumulated trash in certain areas make you run faster to be done ASAP and go away! It's really sad to see how we "humans" are capable to change any nice place into a shitty useless thing.

Nicely paved walking/jogging path. I run it almost every morning. It gets busy on the weekend, but everything gets busy on the weekend. To extend the path go down the peninsula to Bay Shore Walk and Ocean Front Walk.

I love this park! I remember feeding the ducks in Heartwell Park when I was a kid.

Great boardwalk to walk or bike :)

I've walked part of this before but found it much, much more fun on a bike. If you go early in the morning around 7am you can find parking for free in one of the lots close to the Belmont shores side. Make sure you're back by 9am because the ticket police are just waiting to start ticketing and they are pretty aggressive. You can ride right along the ocean, which is really great, to Seaport Village then hang a sharp left along the the embankment where people fish and it takes you around to the coast guard station. I usually take a breather there then ride back. It's so lovely and I've never found it too crowded. You might want to check if there's anything special happening before you go because almost every month there's something exciting going on such as the marathon, Long Beach Grand Prix, sandcastle building, or the annual jazz festival. Catch a cup of coffee on 2nd street afterwards and it's the perfect morning.
