Great short hike and beautiful big falls at the end. The drive up the dirt road was most of the 4 miles AllTrails claims. At the end of the dirt road, there’s a restroom and then the start of the trail right next to it. Total, this hike took my husband and I probably 45 min.

Great trail- great for kids not to hard. But definitely recommend parking higher up on the trail by the restrooms. Where the actual trailhead starts. We stayed down below with the fear of not finding parking but there is plenty of parking up there. The waterfall is amazing.

Super easy hike with the most amazing waterfall at the end. You can cut the trip down to just 2 miles round trip if you’re up for driving a bumpy dirt road, drive up the trail/road until you reach the bathrooms (this is a great option if you have hikers with you who aren’t physically fit enough to hike the full 2 miles up hill).

Beautiful waterfall. Started the hike at 8am and was able to enjoy the waterfall and relax. Headed back at 10am and the trail was starting to get busy.

Amazing trail beautiful views I’ve hiked it with a large group but this time we took our boys 13&7 they did great!

Super easy hike! I definitely consider this one of my favorite places for a quick getaway. The hike itself is pretty easy but the view is amazing! Been here multiple times and it never disappoints!

Great trail with great views patches of snow still on the ground once passing potter pass but trail is still easy to follow Gps/ avenza not needed but is nice to have if you dont have a good sense of direction Maybe wait a couple more weeks if you plan on wearing sneakers I wore boots and they were semi soaked by the time i got back to the vehicle Enjoy!

Beautiful, but not my kind of trail. The first half of the trail is a road so cars drive past you while you hike. It’s also insanely busy. I prefer real trails with fewer people.

Okay I know I say this all the time but this waterfall may take the cake cause it's beautiful! You don't want to miss it.

With the snow covering the trail, this became hard instead of moderate. Yes, there may be some visible footsteps in the snow but signage is very minimum. Highly suggest having a satellite gps. If it wasn’t for another pair of hikers who had one, we may have given up. On the way back, we decided to go straight up to a peak to best sunset. Scary! I personally do not enjoy snow.

The hike up until Potter Pass was great, because of the snow on the other side, it was not immediately clear where the trail was. From potter pass until the Lower twin lake was poor hiking, with a bunch of snow crossings. From Lower Twin to Upper Twin was great, from Upper Twin to Lake George was terrible and almost the whole trail was hidden under snow. Lake George was not pretty enough to justify the hike. I definitely would not hike to Lake George until the snow melts. I would recommend not hiking this trail until the snow fully melts.

As of 5/23/2020 snow patches along the trail . Once you make it about 2.5 miles, about half ways it is completely covered in snow heading towards the lake. It’s doable but covered in snow. Footprints pathways left behind from previous people who went down etc. Overall great views .

The Twin Lakes were amazing, i especially enjoyed the lower twin lakes. The mountain there is picture perfect. The trails however were covered with snow. It’s melting and it should go away by next week. Went down from the top Saturday morning and greeted by crowds (perhaps due to memorial day). Glad we left a day early, otherwise we put ourselves at risk.

Hiked on 05/22. We hiked till Potter Pass and turned back. There was some snow along the way but easily traversable. After Potter Pass, it was snowed in till the twin lakes (that’s what people returning from twin lakes told us). The hike to twin lakes was possible but would be hard with the snow

Very enjoyable. Did as a family with four kids ages 5-11. Hard for the littles, but doable which is the best combination for kids. Great views at the top.

Beautiful waterfall. Beautiful weather. Lots of people! Half the trail on the maps is the road to the parking lot.

This is a beautiful well marked trail with plenty of shade! It is only 2 miles if you park and start at the trailhead. If you want a longer hike, I would suggest parking just after the turn off and starting there. We were able to get in close to 5 miles that way. There are signs to help point you in the right directions. The weather is perfect right now and the fall is active.

hiked trail today! No mud at all and rarely any snow on side of trails. IF you want to save yourself some hiking for little kids or older folks, drive a mile up and there is plenty of parking there as well as restroom. I parked on the road down below but if this can save some people that aren't able to do the whole hike, keep this in mind and just drive slowly. great hike and it is alllllll uphill.

Nice trail! From the main road, you turn up a 2-mile, rocky, unpaved road to the trailhead. If you start the trek at the bathrooms, the hike is just shy of 2 miles total. We noticed a bunch of people who parked down at the main turnoff and walked up the road, making for a longer hike. With kids or grandparents, it’s probably a good idea to park up at the trailhead.

There is a parking lot and restroom 1 mile up from the AllTrails ‘start’ of the trail. From the parking lot, the trail is 2 miles total out and back. Start before 9am or else there will be lots of people, especially on weekends. The waterfall was gorgeous and trail easy for frequent hikers. On 5/16/20, high 40s in the morning with shade and warmed up to 60s late morning. Small patches of snow occasionally.

We just did the trail this morning (5/12/20). All up hill to the waterfall (not bad) and all down hill back to your car. We did the hike with a 6,7, & 9 year old. There were Patches of snow next to the trail but the Trail is dry. With some wet occasional patches. Waterfall at the end is totally gorgeous and worth it. Someone below said there was no shade but that was not what we experienced. it was in the high 40’s this morning and we were commenting on just how little sun there was on the trail it was all shade (we were hoping for some sun to warm us up) but maybe it’s just a time of day thing?.
