Very nice trail, not a lot traffic if you start early. Note that NIX parking opens at 8 am. It was a moderate trail with no shade. Intial climb was a bit tough. Lot of rattlesnakes on the way down via stagecoach trail, you can hear the noise as you pass by. Be careful and watch your step.

my first hike in about 10 years. why choose this trail? simple, because i'm dumb. to add to that we went the opposite direction which made it even more difficult. i was looking for a way to call uber up on serrano ridge trail when i found out we had an hour left in the hike. the best part was coming down little sycamore trail knowing i was almost at the staging area and ac was waiting for me. all in all this trail kicked my butt! my wife tells me this will get me in shape, i keep telling her round is a shape. oh well.

OMG don't start mountain biking on this trail... I used to mountain bike, but not in a LONG time. This was not the trail to start back up... had to turn around 3/4 of the way up the first hill, about 1/2 mile in.

Enjoyable and sometimes challenging hike. A few areas had washout which left the trail gravelly, otherwise well maintained. Will do it again for sure.

Good trail, pretty easy. Watch out for bikers. Parts of the trails were overgrown, there was a part that was covered in stinging nettle. Also very little shade, so make sure you have sun protection.

Great hike but watch for snakes!

Nice trail in scenic trail that is short enough not too leave you completely exhausted but long enough to give you somewhat of a challenge. There's hardly any shade and no overhead canopy, so you'll be exposed to the conditions. Some wildlife present and a moderate amount of traffic on trail. Overall a nice outting.

Challenging hike in the Laguna Canyons which is actually a network of trails that are interconnected. Trail is mostly dirt but some rocky areas. Not a lot of overhead canopy but there are some shady areas. Not a lot of wildlife as there was a moderate amount of traffic on the trail. Overall a good outting with some beautiful scenic views of the canyons and valleys.

Good loop to walk but some of the roads are washed out due the recent storm. Be careful if you are running the trail, lots of rocks and washout. There are many bikes coming down the hill so watch out...you will need to be on the lookout the last 2 miles of the downhill.

beautiful trail in mid-March. lots of greenery and wildflowers and tons of butterflies! not much shade though.

So nice to see so much green thanks to all the rains.

Great for either hiking or trail running. Bring water or any hydration fluids for any activity you do. Family-Friendly. There is an information desk and restrooms at the trailhead so for people who are new to the area, that’s something you should know. Also, there’s not a lot of people who know about Little Sycamore Trail so what they end up doing is, as soon as they park their car, they go to the nearest trail they see. Watch out for bikers coming/going down Serrano.

I loved this trail, but it is not moderate. There are one or two easy sections and the majority of the trail is moderate. But, Camarillo Trail is rated difficult, this is seen on the trail maps that are at the trail. So, how is the trail? Well most of it is double track with probably around 30-40% single track. It has a mix of smooth to rock and technical trails. This means that if you are a beginner to moderate skill level you can ride the trail and walk down and up the parts that you can't. In short, I really enjoyed this trail and I will definitely come back to help me improve until I can clean the whole trail.

Great hike! It took me about 1.5 hours to do the 4.8 mile loop. I started at 2:30pm on a Thursday and I only saw two other people on the trail. Views from the higher elevations are gorgeous. I was able to see all the way to DTLA. Trails are well marked and the ranger has maps available.

It was a good area for a hike that is easily accessible. The visitor center has maps of several options of varying difficulty. The downsides are that the trails have very little shade and highways and residential area is usually visible.

I ran down this trail after running up quail trail to Serrano ridge and down little sycamore. Running down this trail might be the most fun I’ve had trail running maybe ever. It’s hard in the steeper parts near the top because of the loose rocks, but it’s definitely a good time.

great hike!

My first time to Laguna Coast Wilderness Park and I will be back. I especially liked Stagecoach trail and Little Sycamore trail, which are a little technical, rocky. Great Nature Center at this trailhead, along with bathrooms and water. Parking is $3, well worth it, and doesn't open till 8:00. However, I got there early, and at 7:40 the Ranger came and opened up.

Little Sycamore does not allow bikes.

It was a tough hike !!!!

Great loop starting at Nix, up Sycamore and through Serrano. After the toll road underpass, it’s beautiful backcountry on Laurel. Stagecoach has some up and down switchbacks. The Nix center is a great start & end. It was my first hike here and the friendly rangers mapped the route for me.

A fantastic trail right off the 133. Easy parking, $3 for the day. There’s a ranger station/visitor center right by the lot. Awesome & clean. Restrooms for use before you hit the trail. Once out in trail there’s a bit of a climb at the beginning and end but nothing too bad. The end elevation gain is probably the worse of the two. Nice view from the top once you get there.

More like a 6.5 mile hike. Lots of uphill at the beginning and end. Travelled counter clockwise which I suggest as there are a lot of loose rocks at the beginning. Happy hiking!

Good first hike in Laguna. Nice views.
