This is a good trail but make sure to bring some water and sun screen. Gets decently warm during the summer and the shirt has to come off. But definitely a solid hike.

good hike if you are stuck in suburbia. you can hear cars and orange roofs. good workout before you go to real hikes.

Well marked and steep at times We started at the top with the park on a misty day. The trail was a little muddy but provided good footing. A great workout with beautiful views of the canyon and out to thre ocean from the heights. On our misty day we were the only ones there. Will come back to explore the other trails in the park system

Parking across the highway opens at 8am, but tricky to get across during high traffic times (i.e. noon). Watch out for mountain bikes on carwreck and stairstep trails. Incline makes this loop hard but is definitely a feel good workout.

Awesome trail. Parking lot for this loop is across the street and does not open until 8am. Also, if you do the full loop (took me and my companion 4 hours) there is a high probability that there will be a decent amount of traffic when you finish. It was challenging to get across the street and back to the parking lot, I felt like frogger. Another note: if you want to go up car wreck, make sure you go clockwise. Otherwise, to go down car wreck, go counter clockwise.

Hundreds of rabbits, a couple of road runners and pheasants. Only one long incline, but beautiful views.

would advise 2 liters of water at least and some stretching for the slopes you walk on, such as car wreck and rock-it trail.

Did this trail with friends. Started the trail at 10:30 am on a Saturday. Weather was perfect and clear. It was a good work out. The trail was not too busy considering the day and time. The trail was an easy one for those in the group who hike regularly. Those that don’t found it difficult. Definitely bring water and sun protection. Workout shoes and trail runners are fine for this trail. Did come across two snakes. One was slithering away into the bushes and was not a rattlesnake. The second was a rattlesnake sunning itself on the path but off to the side. Never sounded its rattle and did not move an inch as we approached. Great views at the top.

Great trail. Only ran into one snake! Lots of people though, and plenty of bikers

Awesome day for a hike. Loved the initial climb on Big Bend. Great for cardio and leg burn! :D The hikes gets very easy after the first 2 miles.

Good quick hike, took a modified version and it was a blast.

Great training hike, lots of inclines/declines with great views, happy for the cloud coverage and light sprinkle today. In summer this would be brutal. Got here at 8:00 AM on a Friday and very few people on the trail. Lots of wildflowers and rabbits.

Started from Top of the World side, mostly downhill going that way, and then all uphill the way back. Definitely a good workout if you keep a steady pace, and no shade. Loved it!

The trail was less rugged than I was expecting, but all the inclines made for a challengingly fun hike. Plus, we got to see various kinds of wildlife including a rat snake despite the amount of people hiking the trail.

Great hike!

So much fun to hiking this trail!

Beautiful coastal trail with lots of ocean views and flowers.. I went in the afternoon when their were fewer people and temps got cooler. Saw lots of rabbits, birds, and roadrunners. The trail is pretty flat for the first mile then gets steeper. A fit hiker should be able to do this easily, but it may be challenging for beginners.

Great trail with beautiful views

Great hiking place. Beautiful scenery.

Huked this trail this morning and it was magical! the wildflowers in bloom are breathtaking! The elevation is almost vertical and some points and I ended up taking a tumble on the way down.. Also maybe it was just might bad luck with birds, but I couldn't go passed a certain part of the the trail because a flock of MASSIVE birds (looked like Turkey vultures), starting circling me and making a lot of noise while charging at me.. But it is Spring and I'm sure they are nesting.. I'd do the hike again for sure though!

Extremely hot and no shade even at 67 degrees. Trucks driving by, kicking up dust due to the repairs being worked on the trails right now. Bring a bandana to cover your nose and mouth. Many trails overrun by invasive yellow mustard plants. I miss the California sage brush and other native plants. For me these trails are ruined, they were much more beautiful in the past before the erosion from winter rains.

Awesome, wide, and heavy traffic on weekends. Well worth the climb for the beautiful view❣

Easy but a bit strenuous. Beautiful views! I think it took me about 2 hours with lots of photos along the way. Bathroom and drinking fountain at trail head.
