Great trail with magnificent ocean view but there is no shade at all. There is $15 parking fee when you park Moro Canyon Trail as All Trail shows.
Drive to Crystal Cove Trail to avoid paying fee. It’s free there.

Great hike

Easy trail. You should go earlier than not because the tide gets high the closer to sunset you go! Awesome things to see :)

...I will explore this more...GREAT workout...lots of ways to go

...was tough at some points, but GREAT workout. Some of the forks in the road weren't clear, so I thought I might end up in San Diego

Well travelled. Took Moro ridge up and back. Good starting climb and restrooms at about two and a half miles. Great view coming back!

Good hiking trail for a moderate workout. I was expecting nicer views but not bad.

The scenery is okay, but when you get to the top the views are beautiful. The hike is fairly easy. Well marked and clean trails. You can end the day at the beach with the same day pass.

Nice campsites, clean toilet, great view. A little damp in the morning from coastal dew

Got a little lost and went up through the canyons but overall not too bad. Lots of steep parts. There’s an ocean view only in the beginning or end of the trail depending which end you start at. The rest of the trail is just dried shrubbery.

Expect to pay $15 day parking on the weekend. M-F parking is only $5!

Overall good workout and great weather!

Nice out and back. Very hilly. Path is wide and mostly even and well maintained. No shade. About half hikers and half mountain bikes. Not super crowded on a Tuesday AM. Few dogs.

I'm giving it four stars for the hill factor. If you begin the trail off the 133 trailhead BOOM...the hill hits you right away. If I lived closer I would definitely be doing this trail all the time just for exercise.

It's short and sweet, but again, good butt burner.

TIP: the trail has no shade to speak of so make sure you pack a hat and plenty of water on hot days; parking is across the street (fee required); stop in at Laguna Beach Beer Company right now the street (walking distance from the parking lot) after!!

So pretty! The “hidden” beauty one can find here is amazing. Emerald water, ocean breezes, solitude and serenity.

A nice morning walk. Some runners on the trial and some bikes, but not too many bikes. Great views and ocean breeze.

Great 2ish hour hike! Incline is a bit steep otw up but the views are definitely pretty! No shade so wear a hat!

Fun - once you get past the first 3km, which is entirely up hill and at times, steep, it is a fun run with great views and a combination of steady flats along the ridge with fun down hill stretches and it all seems endless.

Peaceful and easy beach stroll!

Great ride on Sunday afternoon when hikers are done.

Great view.

We loved this hike. I would agree with some of these other reviews, I would rate it a Moderate hike. The first half mile or so is a steep incline. The views at the summit are gorgeous. The map shows going a bit past the turn off for the downward portion of the hike. It's totally worth going the extra little bit. There is a lookout point turn off that has a gorgeous view of the ocean as well as into Irinve and the surrounding cities. The end of the hike is a pretty steep decline as well. As a heads up, after the hiking trail ends you are in a neighborhood and you have to navigate thru the steep hilly neighborhood back to the starting point which is where we parked. There were sidewalks for part of it, but not all. Also as a heads up, we did see a small rattlesnake on the side of the trail. The trail is pretty wide the entire way so we were able to safely pass it without getting to close.

Great, well-maintained and marked loop trail. Beautiful, stunning views! Coyote Run Trail portion was closed, so we picked up Wood Canyon Trail, adding approximately another mile or so to the hike. Be cautious - Most mountain bikers seem to lack trail etiquette! All in all a perfect Sunday Funday, though!!

Nice trails, beautiful views.

The trail is nice, Maintained with a fantastic view.

First overnight trip with my eleven year old scout. Tiring but a lot of fun

I would not rate this as a hard trail. There is a butt burning cardio hill either direction you go in the beginning, but after that it's all easy peasy.

Had a great time. Amazing ocean views.

Pretty good trails with beautiful view. Love it.

Fun and beautiful! Great for kids too

Hiked this trail down to shoreline, over to the Beachcomber and back. 10.5 Miles. Beautiful views.

Agree that its moderate/hard, some parts rocky and some sandy slippery. If you have week ankles/poor balance it will be a struggle. Check slope (degree) incline and will understand better. Other than that it is absolutely beautiful views, and can be a good 6mi+loop pending where you park. Lots of bikers, keep your headsets turned down/very low and be alert.
