First place I went after I made it into San Diego and it did not disappoint. Watched the mist clear and the sunrise into a beautiful sunny day. I'd recommend it to anyone. The seals were my absolute favorite part!

Nice short hike with a beautiful view and signs with info of plants and the area.

A slippery little trail. Gorgeous views all the way down, though!

Gorgeous trail with a very scenic overlook. Not hard at all. Warning: the park doesn't open until 7 AM and the rangers are strict about it.

A little sketch but it makes it fun!

A good day hike with great views. Very crowed for a Monday.

I was able to hike 8.2 miles up and down all of the trails. This will ALWAYS be my favorite place to hike in Southern California!

Beautiful trail that leads to the beach, but please wear proper footwear. You can literally die here! It looks very simple, but it turns very slippery near the end.

beautiful. it's pretty short to get out to the cliffs and back, but you can combine a lot of different trails to get in 4 to 6 miles if you want

This is where we bring all our out of town guests when they visit. The first hill can be tiring, but man are the views worth it. I’ve also done that hill 9 months pregnant, so it’s not that awful. Even with all the foot traffic, the views make everything so peaceful and serene. A must do whether you’re a San Diego local or a tourist.

I wouldn’t bring a stroller, but this is still a great trail for baby-wearing or young kids who follow directions (e.g., wouldn’t trust my 2 yr old around the cliffs but older kids would do fine).

This was a great walking trail. Overall there are plenty of views and other trails that you can explore if you would like.

The parking at the bottom is $20 for the day. If you are able to, park alongside the road in the limited spots for free.

This trail was very busy, but enjoyable. Nice for a casual outing. We walked along the beach on the way back and a wave came up and got us wet to the knees. Make sure to pay attention to the tide, in some spots with high tide you might not be able to make it.

The most beautiful views in San Diego, keep in mind the heavy traffic when visiting on the weekends! I went on a Monday around 9am and it wasn't busy at all, it was perfect so if you plan on going, try to visit on a week day rather than the weekend. Having said all that, the views are spectacular on this quick and easy hike, we enjoyed it very much

One really tough spot but beautiful hike to the beach

Very difficult and scary towards the end. Please only go if you’re experienced. My boyfriend and I had a moment where we thought we were going to fall to our deaths.

so beautiful and peaceful

Fantastic views. Very heavily trafficked, but to be expected for the area.

beutiful this place

Probably the most scenic hike in San Diego with breathtaking views of the ocean and cliffs. We went with some friends visiting from New Jersey and everybody really enjoyed it. There are some fun side trails that offer different perspectives so I would definitely recommend doing some of them.

breath-taking views! Hike was a little too easy, but nice for sight seeing.

Not long trails but beautiful cliffside views

Beautiful hike which leads to the beach. Very easy but very crowded with tons of tourist.

Very scenic

Very short but very fun!

Great hike for a family Vista in San Diego. This was a great half day activity during our vacation. Not too difficult, great scenery, and minimal preparation required.

This is a pretty fun trail but can be tough if the sand is dry and slippery

Wonderful cliff top ocean views and peaceful trail that I should give 5 stars. But a rattlesnake on the trail as thick as my kids forearm gave me more bio-
diversity than I like.

There’s naked people on the beach when you make it down there! Lol, I didn’t know I was hiking to a nude beach. Mostly men of course....anyway.... yes it’s very challenging and yes the locals go barefoot and say it’s safer. Awesome sandstone washouts and a rope to get you down the last 50. Head north on the beach and take the stairs back up, then head south along the ridge to get back to the original starting point.

I looked for a trailhead from the top as I drove up not wanting to deal with all the traffic on the roads. I did see a trail down the steeper part of the hill but did not notice any other options. If I had this trek I would have spent some more time looking off the northeast side. I wanted to do a quick down-and-up, will investigate this further next time.
