Questions: I just downloaded this app so not sure where i can ask questions. We wanna go here to Hidden Beach but not clear if we will have access, parking. I'm hoping someone can share

Trail was roped off and a little overgrown but was so worth the long drive up here!

Drive six and a half hours to take on this hike. So worth it.. It was overgrown to our shoulders and a few fallen trees blocking the trail. With some enthusiasm and optimism, we took on the challenge. The beach at the end was gorgeous, would definitely hike this again. 10/10. Northern California is the shit.

The trail at both ends (in and out) are over grown about a mile altogether but still manageable. The entire middle of section of the trail is clear. Was worth the hike. It is for sure one of the most beautiful hikes I have been on. There are some brush down and I would suggest you have your trail maps on. The only miles maker visible was 2 mile marker and the trail head signs.

Amazing little walk with huge views!

Great trail. Me and my 2 dogs were the only ones on it. Some trees blown over but it’s manageable

Beautiful!

One of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen :)

Beautiful trail, we did it on a Sunday and were completely alone the whole time. Hidden beach was absolutely gorgeous!

A bridge is out on this trail. Still gorgeous. Very comfortable trail.

This was a beautiful hike - definitely started from the north end and hiked up to the Overlook. Stopped at Hidden Beach on the way up for a spell and had the entire beach to ourselves. Well worth it and look forward to doing it again. Seems someone had come through and cut back some of the overgrowth recently (August 2019).

Nice trail for the various climate experiences, sounds of seals barking, ocean waves, etc. some overgrown areas. Trail map looks off - isn’t aligned with coastal trail & if you follow it, will not get to beach. There’s a trail marker 3/4 in-follow left to beach. Not sure if it’s Hidden Beach, but other hikers said it was. We did that and skipped rest to False Klamath.

Interesting little trail down to 2 buildings that, from the sky, look like a farmhouse and a barn.. But during WWII, these buildings were used to house radar equipment and staff who were tasked with detecting any Japanese aircraft who may have had intent to bomb the US mainland. It was originally designated as Radar Station B-71, and worth a quick stop if nearby.

Stayed at Mill Creek Campground and hiked this trail from our campsite. The trail was closed in areas due to downed trees and bridges out but we were able to navigate through it pretty well. Hike from our campsite was 7 miles through beautiful old trees and scenery.

Just went directly into hidden beach. The trail is nice and maintained with no issues. On the way back we took the Yurok loop which a nice walk too.

Wouldn’t rate this as easy and some spots are narrow and a bit tricky. Beautiful views and not crowded. Bring a picnic, there are tables near the parking area.

This was a short and sweet hike - absolutely beautiful ocean views, with a steep climb down and back up. The upper parking lot had great views as well, but at the viewing platform at the end of the hike we could see more of the rocky cliffs, and more seals swimming. We would do it again if we were in the area again.

I just did the one mile hike (roundtrip) down to hidden beach at sunset and it was amazing. Except the part where my GoPro fell out of my pocket. I realize it's a long shot but If anyone finds it I would forever be grateful. As far as the hike itself, slippery in spots and overgrown as well. But once you get to the beach that will all be forgotten, Enjoy!(kevinbarrels@gmail)

This trail seems less traveled. A bit of everything on this diverse trail with alders at each end. Lots of huge skunk cabbage near the pond at the beginning, and more banana slugs and trillium than I can recall spotting in a single hike. A little muddy in spots - April after a particularly wet winter and spring. At one point as you near the outlook, the ocean waves’ crashing is astounding, louder than when you are at the actual outlook. Thought this would be more steep but really it’s not, and once you hit those last 2 miles back it’s all downhill or flat. Tons of wildlife, plants, Moss and fungi, probably because it isn’t very populated. Definitely 9 miles out and back and definitely will be doing this one again on a sunny day for the views once you hit the ocean.

great trail and spot. trail is like a creek bed most all the way. beach is very cool.

hiked this gem today. best to start from the northern end so you hike the uphill section first. lots of peaks at the beach for the 1st mile and hidden beach is perfect. did not see a soul except at parking areas. trail in fair shape with no big issues.
