Beautiful hike with much variation. I appreciate the advice to go clockwise! Much better ocean views. The view of the ocean is stunning when you come to the top of Red Hill. Make sure to go to the top. (There is also a well placed picnic table.)

The sea to sky trail was a nice uphill climb, but the raptor trail was muddy and had a creek crossing. Not much to look at except for nice ocean views.

Beautiful hike, hard not moderate, we hiked starting at Rapture Ridge side which was much easier than starting Sea to Sky.

Trail is very well maintained. There are bathrooms (somewhat hidden) at the trailhead and well marked signs the entire way. It’s definitely up, down and up again (don’t forget about the up on your way back). We started around 9:15am and it took us about 6+ hours with a 20 minute break at the top. Definitely enough time to complete during the winter months, but you need to start as early as possible. We went through about 2.5 L each of water, mild weather conditions, not an unbearable amount of mud, cows are harmless :) Oh yeah, and we didn’t see anyone the entire time until we were about .5 mile from the trailhead on our way back. Was definitely a nice change of pace.

Beautiful at sunset. Definitely go clockwise to get max time with ocean views. North side of trail pretty muddy at parts but nothing too bad. Will def go again!!

Perfect weather. Great trail. A little wet in places but was able to do it in tennis shoes. Foggy and cool, just the way I like it.

very pretty, with fantastic views. a little busy but not to bad.

Did raptor ridge to sea to sky to loggers lament and then back on Russian gulch Loggers is very steep. Great views

Great ocean views. Little un-interesting. Lots of pasture hiking.

Great trail with amazing views. Good exercise on the way up. Lots of options to make this longer or shorter. We did 7.5km loop.

Great trail. I would suggest starting at the blind beach parking lot instead of down by goat rock. The tide was really high when we went and was almost impossible to make it through the first section.

Great. Little shade. Last 0.5 m is not dog friendly

Not strenuous and well marked. Very quiet if you are first on trail

Amazing views, lightly trafficked, and our little 15lb dog loved it. 7.5 miles not 9. The cows were super cute.

Began foggy at the parking lot but cleared up about 1/4 of the way up. Did the loop clockwise which I thought was better because the way down you have a great view of the mouth of the Russian river and ocean.

Beautiful views of the ocean and fog when it rolls in.

Started at the coast, foggy day and good wind made this positively delightful. Beautiful views.

Exposed beginning and end but good tree coverage once you're at the top. Russian Gulch is pretty, rolling, fire road-ish. No bug issues. Bring water. Nice parking lot at the trailhead.

We took the sea-to-sky trail out and came back on the raptor trail. Lots of elevation right at the get-go with no shade, but a wonderful view towards the beginning. The fog was in over the ocean so, while we didn’t see much of the water, it felt like we were hiking above the clouds. Had to step around a ton of cow poop along the way!

The views really can't be beat. You're literally up where the raptors soar. It's a serious hoof uphill (and yes, this is a pun on the herds of cows you walk through, they're quite calm and weren't bothered by my pup, so you can traverse them easy enough). Hard but rewarding hike. Will do again on my next trip down here.
