Happy we hiked this trail while the wild flowers were still in bloom. Very pretty and a good mix of creekside, canyon and open meadow. Be sure to take plenty of water and a hat as much of the trail is open land with no shade, although there are some beautiful majestic oaks and sycamores along the way. Very enjoyable! :)

Beautiful trail, waterfalls, rocky on some areas, pathway leading to the east side is shorter that west side :)

Heavily trafficked, well maintained trail that eventually reaches a gorgeous stream. Walked to the right when the trail splits at the stream, I kept going until the next major trail split. Seemed like there wasn't much shade after this point. Will return to do the whole trail someday with an earlier start ( and hopefully less people on the trail).

This hike is not hard at all. Only a couple of spots that require some effort. You cross over the creek several times which is nice. Perfect to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the wildlife. Today we saw a snake, a horned toad, countless lizards and birds.

A good ~2-hour hike that's between easy to moderate. Not a lot of shade, but a nice stream for the pups to cool down. Enjoyable and beautiful.

A wonderful medium hike. Lots of wildflowers over rolling hills. Follows a nice tree lined creek for part of the hike with tiny waterfalls. Parking lot is currently closed but plenty of space on the shoulder of the road for parking. Not a lot of elevation except for one fairly steep incline.

Muddy, overgrown, easy to lose the (admittedly short) trail. The pond was pretty though.

It was a nice hike with beautiful views. We went in the evening so it was not too hot. Saw a couple of rattlesnakes so be careful with dogs and small children. Lots of poison oak so be careful going near stream.

Pretty straightforward beautiful prairie hike for the most part. Great way to spend a morning

nice beginner trail or afternoon walk. the trail splits into two different trails half way through the walk, just keep right if you're going towards the pond. all together the trail is a little less than two miles back and forth. a bottle of water should be enough to get you through. enjoy!

A lot of side trails so you have to pay attention if you want to go straight to the pond. Trail is only 12 inches wide but was a lot of fun and the scenery is beautiful right now after the rains

Great trail for a quick run. If you are feeling ambitious and want to add some elevation stay left at the fork (up Daley truck trail) during the latter half before a final creek crossing. This way will take you up a brutally high traverse for about a thousand feet of gain. (high route is washed out)

I love this trail! It’s peaceful and perfect in the spring time. Try to avoid going in hot weather as there are long stretches of exposed trail. There are also four creek crossings on the trail.

Very hot day today, I would recommend getting an early start on this hike because there’s not much shade (though a few nice shady creek spots in the beginning). Also watch out for poison oak/rattlesnakes/ticks. Beautiful views and wildflowers :)

Easy trail with a beautiful pond but very muddy after the recent rain.

Really fun trail, didn’t make it all the way around as we went off trail a bit and then it was getting late. Parking lot is closed, but we just parked on the street like others. Saw only a couple people along the trail. A couple crossings were flooded, but we were able to make our way around them. Saw a small man-made waterfall right before we turned back, but there were a lot of nice aspects to this area. Tons of wildflowers, mixed shaded areas, the river running along the whole trail. The only bad thing was the bugs that started coming out around sunset, so we’ll go earlier next time. Highly recommend!

Many water crossings over logs and rocks. Some mud on stream bank.

Beautiful hike. Not a lot of foot traffic. No fee. More on the moderate side of easy just because of the hill about a mile in but still definitely got a workout out of it. The trail follows next to a creek for most of the way. It has some shade but wear some sun protection. Very beautiful.
