A couple of trails closed so we had to go out and added about 2 miles, no shade, but good work out on the long ups and downs.

A nice trail and I’ve been back twice already but there is no shade. Seems par for the course though in Irvine which is why I’m giving it 4 instead of 3 stars. Nice to have the paved or the dirt option and there were a lot of friendly people. I took my dog and he enjoyed it but we both would have liked some more shade.

Tried this trail with my dog and it was too overgrown for me. Felt like I was in a corn maze and kept hearing creepy sounds of all the animals stirring in the brush. Almost stepped on a snake, some rats or mice ran by and there were quite a few bugs out. Plus there’s no shade so you have to go early. I won’t be going back here with my pup and definitely would not bring my kids.

Between noon and 3 pm on a Thursday we had the place pretty much to ourselves. Very well marked trails in this area. Trails are well maintained and it was very pretty.

Very nice sunset walk around welcoming trails and nature easy but plenty of room for distance that is interesting!

Nice walk bike path!

Gorgeous lake and well maintained. A bit is in the neighborhood streets but it's not that bad.

My husband and I hiked with our 3 kids (10,6,4). It was a great trail for them and we were able to go on a few trails - nice you can make it shorter if needed. We went the Bommer meadow - west trail to the freeway underpass - then back to the nature loop. No “spectacular” views but it was a nice trail. Lots of bikers and the trail is narrow at times but as my kids said “all the bikers are so nice!” The lot is small. We got there at 8:30 on a Sunday and got a spot but was full by the time we left.

Nice quick little loop. Summer time hot and dry with no shade. Saw several signs of snakes and other hikers actually saw a rattlesnake, so be careful.

Great walk, but very hot for a summer day. There isn’t much shade so go earlier in the morning when it’s still cool. We saw lots of birds and a few spiders!

Surprising diversity of bird species for such an urban location.

Awesome trail!

The vegetation in late July 2019 is dried out tall prickly grassy husks (plus some occasional pumpkin(?) vines). We entered on Concordia across from the preschool, but the trail was pretty steep and we took the first right to exit French Hill onto Turtle Rock Dr, also pretty steep going down. I wouldn't do this one again.

This trail isn’t “Hard” but it is a little strenuous it has a ton of great inclines great for cycling, running and hiking. If you do the full hike: once you get to “laguna wilderness park” you tend to run into a lot of bug (bees, small flies, beetles) the trail narrows a bit and the vegetation is a little over grown so prepare to get hit by twigs and such. There is very minimal shade so getting there the earliest you can is your best bet unless of course you love the heat of the sun.keep the map with you as there are a ton of more trails and it is easy to wonder off and end up somewhere else which becomes a longer hike! Have fun!

Narrow track, somewhat overgrown in several sections. Beautiful views at the peaks

it is now open, just walked it all.

No shade well barely any shade fun walk some small hills but and you mostly see golfing fields nothing to amazing more like a regular walk

ALERT !!! I just finished hiking this Trail this evening and happened to find a pair of prescription, wire-rimmed glasses on the side of the trail. If by some Bizarro chance you're reading this and you think you lost your glasses on this Trail, I put them on the large Rock on the left at the bottom of the trail near the street. If you read this and get your glasses, would love to see a post here. otherwise, great Trail - unusual in that it's hard packed Earth surrounded by tall grass on both sides almost the whole way. Good fun and decent workout.

nice trail for walking or jogging, or learning how to ride a mountain bike. I took my wife, since she's just transitioning from a single speed cruiser. Was very slightly inclined one direction, so good for someone to get some confidence on riding dirt, and learning how to shift. A few little bumps in there to learn how to adjust you weight etc. otherwise, if you're an experienced rider, beautiful for a quick ride.
