A decent walk in the park type trail. I think even beginners will be bored by it. Watch out for the snake holes all throughout the trail.

Super easy hike. Easy to find, right off the freeway & close to home. It had a little steep hill but that was all... loved the fact that it was kid & dog friendly. Dirt trail but you could take stroller if needed (fyi)

It is good beginners trail and has restrooms.

It’s good for run but wouldn’t consider this hiking. Nice pavement to run or bike, but definitely not a lot of nature. In the middle of the city so expect lots of noise. Overall, I’ll just use this to run on but wouldn’t go out of the way to see it.

I was in town on business and went here to get a quick run in on a late afternoon. Thankfully some locals directed to a much better out and back trail that starts from this same trailhead. I don’t know what it’s called but most everyone coming to this parking area headed that way. That trail goes back into the ravine and is hilly, but much more scenic. After my run I cooled down by walking this trail. Pretty flat and boring.

Loved this trail! Pretty empty on a cold day!

It’s a decent workout if you’re in the area.

It has incredible view of this place. It’s a easy walking. Good for morning refreshing your mind.

Many walks done here. This one is probably one of my favorite little walks to do. I never considered it much of a hiking trail, but still a beautiful place to take pets or just get a nice view while walking.

It’s not 1.8 mike hiking. I did 6 miles. You might need to upgrade to access the map in case you get lost. Hiking in the morning feels awesome!

As a more advanced hiker, this trail was pretty easy. Definitely a good hike with a good view.

Good view. Starts with stairs. Nothing too exciting, but good to get out.

This trail is great, very clear path, easy enough with one section that is steeper than the rest (up or down, depending on which direction you walk). We went right at the trailhead, so the steep portion was almost the last thing we did. It was uphill but no problem for my 4-year-old. Only negative was that this isn’t an amazing view, it’s just a loop back in the hills.

I wouldn’t consider this for a hike. If you want a nice walk it would be good as long as you’re okay with walking on a bike path between neighborhoods.

Good conditioning trail, lots of grades, first two are most challenging

Perfect to take your dog(s) on a long walk around the lake.

Pretty steep trail! Hard to know what was the path and just fire clearance. Nice view of irvine from the top. Got a good work out.

Nice easy neighborhood hike.

It was okay. Plan accordingly. There is no shade. Will probably do again, but not on a hot day.

This trail has NO markers. I did 2.3 miles, as I couldn't figure out the 4.2 advertised course. A lot of shrubbery has been hacked down, and couldn't figure out where was the"trail" path? I used All trails to figure out where I was , but it showed me I was not on main trail (RED).

After, I drove around Turtle Rock, and I didn't get any additional info, that could have made my hike any better.

I could see areas that have vegetation hacked, and no trail paths.

I won't be back.

Lot of kids play sports in park ..nice to watch

Great maintained trail if you feel like going for a nice run. Not terribly difficult but if you're looking for a hike with nice views this isn't the best place but offers a nice view of some hills, residential, dry...wheat, cacti, some green shrubs on one side, and a golf course! They also have something called turtle rock but I didn't see it. In terms of wildlife... I just saw spiders that looked like skulls, didn't get much closer to see haha. There's a few bridges you can cross that are nice but other than those there's no shade.
In any case, great run, a little too easy for a hike.

Great warm up run for those that want a nice jog. This place leads to other trails too so once you finish the loop you have other options leading out of there. But overall gentle slopes but mostly flat. Its kind of plains as far as the eye can see kind of look. Until you see the freeway anyway.
Its a good 2 mile jog, no cover for shade so go early! I found the occasional garden snake or lizard slithering by while I ran. But I'd recommend it for a run.

A good hike. Parked car by tennis court. Walk up zig zag park. Enter trail from the park. good workout.

Easy trail with enough elevation at one end to get your heart rate up. In June, this trail is rather brown instead of green. Since there is no shade at all, I took my kids at 6:30 am to avoid the heat of the day. It was overcast when we went but if the sun had been out, even at that early hour, we would have needed hats. Overall, this is a great trail for a family hike. I will definitely do this one again and again

Well cared for trail. No cliffs, nice and smooth. Great surface for wearing down my 3 year old. :-) No shade anywhere on the trail, so bring your sunblock.

A good exercise hike in the city.
