Shaveonte, the trail description is not correct. The trailhead is on the corner of Domenigoni and Searle. The trail runs next to Diamond Valley Lake and is flat for two miles until it reaches a water tower and then climbs up a steep hill to a small area with a picnic table overlooking the lake. You can go about one more mile and then the trail ends overlooking some farmhouses.
There is no charge for parking, but there is a $2 charge for walking per person. Good luck.

came to hike I usually go to Simpson Park but wanted to try a new Trail however all trails are closed at Diamond Valley Lake until further notice I was extremely disappointed

I think I must have missed it, but how do you get to the trail?? I spent over an hour looking for the starting point :/ I only gave it a 1 star because I couldn’t find it. Can someone help me out please?

its close, up to speed for me, and I would be ok doing this trail by myself.

This trail system only gets better through the years. The group that designs and builds the trails know their stuff when it comes to trail layout.

Nice Chill Place To Hike

Great trail for mountain or gravel bikes and even hiking. Great views of the lake and surrounding areas. From my experience, you don't realize the entire loop is 21 miles because your distracted by the views.

Awesome trail it's pretty cool and simple the best area is the creek site which is pretty nice and relaxing especially if you go midweek like we did you can set up your chairs and enjoy a cold refreshment.

great moderate hike but,I wish people would not bring their dogs when it is hot they can over heat and can cause heat stroke. This is not a shaded trail. They cool down by panting they cannot sweat like us to bring down body temp. Please be mindful of your pets as they are to you . Peace

Cool hike.

Love this place. One of our favorites. Been here several times. My kids love it here. There’s a road to hike along or you can venture into other dirt trails. It’s a great spot to check out if you’re in Hemet.

it's okay. Not much of a challenge but good enough for a workout.

Not a whole lot to see on the flat part of the walk but as soon as you start climbing up near the water tower there are some great views. At the end of this trail is a park bench with a beautiful panoramic view.

Beautiful...^^

Just recently re-opened for vehicles. Clean trails, everyone we met/pass on the trails were very nice. Will go back again to check out other trails. We did the Crest Trail to the American flag and another small trail. 4 stars instead of 5 because the drinking fountains were not working and there were no maps. But we will be back (with a downloaded map and extra water lol)

Cool area! You can make it as short or as long as you wish.... Good time. Fun for all levels. I would not rate this moderate though.

Beautiful to go on a bike

pretty decent trail, not really difficult I pretty much did it in 2wd the whole time in my 4runner just take some parts slow and you'll be fine...does take you to mt. San jacinto just stay on mt. San jacinto truck trail and you'll end up at the top. overall nice scenery just wish it was a little challenging but it's good..just becareful turning those corners alot of bikers and quads so don't go to fast around the corners. and remember to not liter that's how our roads get shut down guys.

trails are for your occasionally walker & not your beginner walker due to the up/ down of the trails. Nice trails, for various people, families & dogs. Directions are easy to get to the park.

This is a very nice trail with beautiful scenery views and a water crossing. This trail will take you up to Idyllwild which is a great little town to have lunch and visit the local shops. Please don’t liter and help keep these trails clean for everyone’s enjoyment.

Pretty walk, not much elevation gain. We walked a total of 6.54 miles, mile markers along the path. There wasn't a whole lot of people out today, plan on doing the full 21 miles soon. Definitely do it on a cool day, it was only 66° out and we were still warm, as there's no shade on the path...although there are several covered rest stops and porta potties on the path.

This was a good hike for a jog in and out with a decent climb

First hike in many years. Was okay until going up to the top. Exhilarating getting to the top and view.

I only planned on taking my 2015 Forester XT up the bee canyon road off highway 74. I never saw the sign that said "bee canyon truck trail" I just noticed that the road got a little rougher and over 10 miles later the road turned into mount jacinto truck trail. Oh well, I drove the stock Forester XT (well, with 28.5" A/T's) all the way to Idyylwyld.

I made it up with no damage, but I feel like there were some close calls. I can vouch that the boulder that is on the mountain side of the road only allows for about 6 feet of width. Full size trucks beware. That boulder is 3-4 feet tall.

In the middle of the trail is this beautiful water crossing. As you climb higher in the mount Jacinto area, the trail becomes shaded, greener and more lush in forest. Trail ends in idyylwyld. Beautiful way to way to end the drive.

You have to walk 2 miles in to start climbing, but then it kicks your butt! My Map My Hike said it was 555 ft of gain. Nice workout.

Did this as a goal hike based on the 856 foot elevation increase listed here but was disappointed to find that my MapMyHike recorded it as only 497 feet and my FitBit said only 68 floors. Bummed I didn't break any personal records like I was hoping for but I was rewarded with an amazing view and a gorgeous breeze at the top. Still worth the hike. We'll do it again when the flowers bloom and it's a little cooler out.

Can't wait to see it in Spring. Nice uphill incline after a long walk out. We got 5 miles up to the top (table) and back. You can go out further than we went.
