Lovely ♥️♥️ Miguel y yo

El Capitan is a large campground but the most of the camp sites are well spaced a part. This is more of a walk along a paved bike path rathern than a hike. Great ocean views along the ocean bluff. Part of the paved path is closed but you can bypass by going down to the beach. Best if you go during low tide as there isn't a lot of beach to walk on at high tide.

it's beautiful when it rains. the right amount of light hits through the trees and the stream to your side keeps it from being too quiet. it's a bit short but perfect for having a picnic at the base

it's a different hike. you can start either from the top or from the bottom. Good views but I have seen better. We saw few deers at the end which was rewarding. The drive is nice and tricky.

This is more of a trail walk - very fun and easy. I did this today in the early evening, and it was beautiful ans not crowded.

Pros:
- Beautiful views of the lake.
- Mostly flat.
- Plenty of street parking.
- Many different paths available to help not get bored with doing this multiple times.
- Not too crowded during the week.

Cons:
- Not much shade.
- A lot of overgrowth on some parts of the trail that I wish I had worn pants.

kool little hike big plus tat theres water coming down the fall easy parking!!

My family went in March right a week or 2 after all the rain. The waterfall was still streaming & the forest was a BEAUTIFUL golden red hue all throughout. The forest itself is super picturesque & has the feeling of a scene from a fairytale. Definitely one of my most favorite with kids in SoCal so far.

Very easy to find from the freeway, lots of direction markers and good parking. Super easy, very short hike in a very pretty area. The waterfall would probably have been beautiful, but the last part of the trail was closed due to falling rocks so we weren't able to see it.

Beautiful shady trail. It’s very short and it doesn’t even take 10mins to get to the falls.

Very pretty area! Little bit shorter than I had been hoping for. Pretty decent incline hike. Easy to maneuver while wearing a baby on my chest haha. We drove an hour and twenty minutes to reach this place. The scenery was worth it. :)

If you go to UCSB or work there, this is a great trail. If you love bird watching, you'll dig the lagoon. This mixed use trail is pieced together with sections of single track, bike path, hardpack, and maintained crushed granite walkways. There are interpretive signs around the lagoon educating about birds, plant life, restoration, whale migration, and more. If you are from out of town looking for a place to explore, I wouldn't recommend this hike over some others, with one exception: the Lagoon Island Labyrinth. This labyrinth is the largest I've personally seen (out of several), and overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Overall, a nice morning walk, with plenty of parking at Goleta State Beach.

Short and sweet! Lots of tree coverage .. a tiny bit of water .. may be better in the spring

Super beautiful and easy hike

This trail has a closed portion, but the entire trail isn't closed. If you start at El Capitan, you can avoid the closed portion by heading down to the beach for a bit, then back up. If you start at Refugio you have much more trail. This trail is easy, and paved. Some areas you can't see the ocean due to plant growth, but there are some lovely quiet beaches along the way. A really nice way to walk a section of the Gaviota Coast.
Pro Tip: Use the bathroom before heading in either direction. Pro pro tip: A lot of the bathrooms are locked. Keep trying. It's like an Easter egg hunt!

Short trail but nice park. Perfect for picnic and quick walk

Fun with little kids. Very short and a lot of people. More like a nature walk.

Nice views. Good family time

trail not clearly marked in some places

Don't know how long the trail has been closed, but I used the bypass and felt very unsafe. There are a couple of paths down to the beach, that was nice. You can see the ocean almost the entire time which us beautiful, but the trail itself is just an asphalt path.

Make sure you go past the "Danger" sign so you can get to the actual waterfall. Don't expect a lot of water, but the simplicity of the waterfall is beautiful.

There is a little bit of water in the creek, but the fall is dry. The last leg of the trail is currently still closed for safety reasons.

Great family workout, we took our double jogging stroller and strapped up our 6 month old and our almost 4 year old. The views were amazing you get a little bit of both worlds beach and mountains. Definitely going back again!

Good trail, short and nicely shaded the entire walk by tree coverage. Waterfall is more of trickle now but looks as though it used to be a bit more vast. Nonetheless still worth the short walk.

Day hiked from Manzana Schoolhouse to water canyon camp, trail is difficult to follow, and nonexistent at times. Contrary to gps and directions, there is no road access to this trail, sisquoc runs through private property and you will be turned away. We started at Nira trail head and hiked up manzana creek trail. Water throughout both trails, with homesteads and swimming holes.

Great short trail with beautiful waterfall

it was a short walk to a beautiful water fall. only downfall was there was a bunch of kids running around with no parental guidance. they were screaming and throwing their trash on the ground. such a shame.
