Another great trail lots of shade well maintained. And not many people other than a couple people riding bikes, very peaceful hike,
Internet almost the whole trail until you get to across to Jack London state park then the state pulls the plug JK
An extra 4 miles each way would put you at the state park trailhead.

A quaint trail in scenic Sonoma. The lake loop trail is an easy walk with a great view of the water. No fishing here. No swimming either, but didn’t seem to stop the local kids. Will definitely check out more trails in this area.

Lightly used trail through woods up to great vista of sonoma. Sneaky long but steady climb. I ran the trail. Single track mountain biking allowed.

had a great hike it ended up being a little over 9 miles, the trails are not marked the best and there was a lot of ticks . But it was still a very good workout hike lots of incline and decline. I loved the peek a boo views through the trees, it was a great shaded hike.

Great light trail with plenty of benches, water, and even a porta potty along the way. Great for leashed dogs, or leave them at home and explore the museums. This trail would definitely be considered stroller friendly as well, as the majority is paved.

great and enjoyable moderate hike: forest, fruit trees, vineyards. superb views on the valley from the ridge

It’s a keeper, just hard enough to be a workout, beautiful vineyards nearly untouched by fire

Came for a day hike! Beautiful redwood trees! It is a nice strong solid hike lots of places to stop to rest. Beautiful places to take pictures. It was very damp and cold. Wear layers. Very peaceful!

We started at the Vineyard Trail, followed by the Coon Trap Trail. Much of the ascent was on the coon Trap Trail. Once reached to top it was a gradual downward slope through the beautiful woods. It was a great hike.

The coon trail is currently closed for restoration. It was too steep and hard to follow. I turned around and retraced my steps for a total of 10 miles. An awesome trail run! Beware of spider webs as you run. I was the first on the trail for the day and ran into several.

Interesting history of Jack London...

There are 30-miles of hiking trails in this State Park, and the highlight is Jack London's burned-down mansion, Wolf House.

Great stop. The home which is now the museum was beautiful and very well put together with lots of information. Love the preservation of history and arts and in a beautiful location.

Absolutely stunning! A bit muddy in spots from recent rains, but doable and so worth the trek to the summit.

Great hike

Great place!!!

Overall the hike was wonderful.

Next time, I would hike the loop clockwise. We completed the hike counter clockwise causing the steeper elevation difference in the decent versus the assent. It was tough going down hill.

Also, although high enough in elevation to have the view, the surrounding trees and vegetation hindered the view.

The weather was delightful and the canopy of the trees keep things shaded and cool.

The loop wound up being 10.3 versus 8.3 miles, so take into consideration.

Well groomed trails.

Took mountain trail to Sonoma ridge all the way out and came back Coon Trap trail. It had some nice views, was in the shade but long- 11+ mile loop.

Beautiful views! Moderate is correct. We started at the North Sonoma Mountain trail head and walked all the way into Glen Ellen for lunch. We set up a shuttle back to the trail head. Second time on this trail and I plan on more. Start early it gets hot!

This is a great hike for families. Easy trail ( took 2 -3 year olds on it one summer, they loved it). Lots of interesting things to look at and discuss- the ruins are nestled in a grove of redwoods. Nice place to take visitors as well.

Love this state park! So much history! The pig palace is a personal favorite!

Jack London State Park is just flat out awesome. This is one of the milder trails in the park, great for families or older folks, doesn't take too long to complete from the parking lot There is so much history in the park it makes it even more interesting and beautiful.

This place is stuffed full of history. I had a great hike and loved the area.

This is a very informative trail. Jack London was a interesting fellow. Judging by the info signs, he experimented with a wide variety of farming techniques and failed at all of them. As hiking goes, it was meh. Do not go to the lake which is basically Jack London's mosquito farm.

This is a fun trail for hiking leisurely. Took my kids. To them it was hard. I loved it!

I Loved the hiking it was easy but we came home with lots of ticks on our clothing though.
