No signs on trail. Family & dog friendly.

For a quick bike fix this is the easy go to. You can go around the sports center many times if you need more, it is 8/10 of a mile around. You can also go out in the fields if no ones around. Go thru the park and there is a short single track that leads to a subdivision along the creek

Love this as an educational quick hike for all skill levels. This is actually a loop as long as you take the stair at the end. The history of the Mutsen at this site is amazing. Take time to read the interpretive signs and talk to Ranger if you see one.

Good trail. Lots of animals: turkeys, wild pigs, dears and cattle. We extended the hike by going down to the valley. This adds 2 miles. The view of the lake has nothing special. The lake was quite low.

This trail starts at Gilroy Sports complex and is not closed. It's is a nicely paved path with access to paths that run thru woods along creek. It's attached to Christmas tree park. It's very close to Gilroy Trk stop and easy to get to along sidewalks. Excellent for dog walking.

nice trail with wonderful views!

Beautiful! Short hike, down, then up. Great for kids. Stopped to see the white fallow deer afterwards. Also saw lizards and deer in the forest, which the kids enjoyed. Redwoods, ruins, wildlife!

We camped at Coyote Lake and had a great time! The tent and RV sites are not too overly crowded. Restrooms and showers are nice as well.

There are plenty of activities to do: Hiking, boating and fishing. The lake was low when we went which limit the boat activities. Talked to a few people fishing and they mentioned they weren't catching any. We decided to do a lot of hiking! There are dozens of trails there. Be aware - most trails do not have a lot of trees - and it is in Gilroy - so it is HOT! Bring plenty of water. The trails were nicely maintained. There is also benches and tables along most routes.

Had a great time! Hope to come back when it is a little cooler.

Sad to say but trail is now closed to the public. A place I once used to go, and let my soul release into nature, now taken away..

Nice short hike with great views of the lake. You can make it 4 miles by starting on the Mendoza trail, taking a right onto the Mummy Mountain trail and then looping back to the parking lot via the coyote ridge trail.

easy, lots of mud pies on the trail, but still it's a tranquil hike. Takes you to a pond and a water tower.
