This was a beautiful hike. I saw birds, pelicans, rabbits and deer on this trail. The gate opens at 8am for cars but you can park further away if you want to start earlier like I did. No lizards on trail and I was totally ok with that.. There were a few hikers early in the morning which surprised me. No dogs allowed, so leave your furry friend at home.

Very nice trail for beginners. I took my 9 year old son who’s a novice and completed the trail in 45 minutes at a leisurely pace. Not too crowded with nice view and evening breeze

Very pretty walk, little shade def need sunblock!

Easy flat concreted 2 mile run. Completed full circle around the lake in just under 30 mins at an easy steady pace. Good family location, lots of play areas for children along the way as well as simple workout stations.

Nice easy hike. Beautiful views. A bit windy and chilly.

Easy trail with nice views and beautiful birds ❤️ can spot dumbarton bridge and 92 freeway! It has no shade but nice ocean breeze.

This was nice for an easy family (dog, baby, grandma, and myself) walk.

I love the meadowlark trail
Loop part of this trail for birding! Also fewer people! The bayview
on a foggy day was meh.

Serene paved (until the end) trail that ends in a lookout over 680. At this time the pine street trailhead (indicated on this map) is fenced off due to recent paving but the path is still accessible at other trailheads that can be found on the trail map sign board on pine street. Perfect for a relatively easy family hike.

Four stars for the paved roads, nice facilities (there's a visitor's center and restrooms, a garden, and a picnic area) and the beautiful views of the bay. Negatives are that the smell is truly awful (a marsh is a marsh) and it's not really a hike, more of a walk. Not a lot of elevation gain.

Beautiful trail.
