Great xc course, downhill, and trail running. Pretty complicated if you don’t know where you’re going, but every single track will lead you somewhere. Lots of rattlesnakes during summer months so leave the dogs at home. Only downside it the glass if you’re running tubeless tires.

Super steep at the beginning. But much easier as you go. It’s like an art walk as you get to the summit.

Big Tree Truck Trail is a good fire road trail, easily accessible from the 210 Freeway. The trail climbs steadily into the San Bernardino National Forest, offering scenic views of the valley below. The dirt road is well-maintained with a few rocky stretches that are easy to manage. Very little shade but the trail weaves down and through ravines that provide some relief. Excellent for trail running with a steady incline and some flat stretches. Definitely bring water, there is none available on the trail or at the Trailhead.

The beginning will kick your butt, but after its a nice hike with a great view at the top.

Gets better after the first mile, which feels sketchy and is full of trash. Decent workout but won’t go back.

The hike is a little steep and gravely. Make sure your footing is secure on the way down.

This trail was very fun to do with my puppy! There were lots of different marked trails (marked by arrows sprayed on the ground) and we strayed off our original path a bit to go all the way up to the top. Descent was easy. Views at the top were great for it being Fontana. Will definitely do this one again!

sweet trail and an amazing view

Pro:
Gorgeous when green
Safe

Cons:
Graffiti
Typically brown
Noise pollution

It’s steep
I like to go off trail

Great hike! It’s steep in the beginning but gets a little bit easier the higher you go. You’ll have to climb through some rocky areas, Also There’s cool art painted on the rocks along the way up. Once you reach the top it’s flat like a table and you can see clear in every direction!

trailmmap was inaccurate.

Great, moderate hike. Maybe a bit more difficult on way down. Steep

Fun hike on a super windy day. Lots of good rocks to climb over. Some good rock art along the way.

Thank you to the person who painted red crosses along the trail to aid in direction. A bit of rock climbing. It was very windy at the top. Nice big graffiti pictures along the trail. Dog friendly. Saw a little snake too.

Nice little trail with good views. lots of graffiti but that's Fontana.

The “trail” goes straight up the mountain so it’s super steep. It’s pretty up there though!

fun steep little hike, good workout. lots of graffiti and rock art.

This trail is a great up hill hike. It is very steep so wear hiking shoes. Its a short hike and is a good quick workout. Beware of rattle snakes.

I will do it again because I live close by. I was surprised by the lack of trash but disappointed on the way back to find a diaper, a few broken beer bottles and bits of who knows what. This trail has all the makings of a nice workout. I got a little lost on the way back and turned it into a 6 mile hike. I encourage people to do this. You never know how far you can go until you need to walk up and down streets to find your car!

This trail is a good, normal, run. But watch out for the Diamond back rattle snakes.
