it's not dog poop. there's a lot of coyote scat. but yes why do people brag the poop then this it. just toss the sh!# with no bag.

love this loop. it is completely exposed and can get super hot during summer months so pack lots and lots of water. then pack more. always go right at the junction if you're looking for more of a workout.

watch out for dog shit and bags of dog shit. people who frequent this trail do not know the rules of trail etiquette very well. lots of litter everywhere, so if you feel inclined to help the fallbrook land conservancy out a little bit, bring a bag with you to pack out some trash. leave it better than you found it!

Beautiful quick trail to hike in the early morning or evening away from the heat.

Jog/hiked the loop in 1 hour 18 min, good work out.

whew. there is no McDonald's at the top, someone lied to me

Fun place to take kids and dogs

Great family hike!

It was a beautiful scenery with lots of greenery & water. The hike was moderate I did it with my dog, puppy,& 2kids. Ok now the negative we picked up a TICK but luckily it didn't attach to anyone yet. So before you go out here put on your deterrent & protect your fur babies!!!!

Enjoyed this trail, scenery was beautiful

Easy to get to, didn’t see any rattlesnakes and the top is fun with the flags and a sunrise to start off your day.

Great workout if you take the loop counter clockwise. Hiked it in about 2 hours. Lots of dog poop though. Hazy day. Heavy traffic. Local favorite right off the highway.

First time here had a great time. Only went about half way in but I’m really overweight and out of shape and did 5 miles round trip pretty easily. Had a few swimming holes we swam in. Would do it again.

Good hike. Taking the advice of others I went right at the junction. Made it a much better hike. Would do it again anytime.

Good workout. Rocky most of Trail so watch your step. It was very hazy at early morning so no real vista view from top this trip.

very good hike. To make it hard and the full 4.2 miles go right on the fork in the road. This will have you going up the stairs instead of coming down them.

First time doing this trail. Liked it a lot. Quiet with great river views. Only thing I didn’t like was the amount of dog excrement along the trail.

Love this trail. not good for out of shape seniors. There are some narrow cliffs and boulders that they could easily get hurt on. I'm upper 50's and take my dog several times a month. scenic, peaceful and not too strenuous.

Nicely done trail

Nice and quiet. Quite a bit of poison oak tho

its was a nice hike, not nearly as hard as I thought. Its a cake walk compared to potato chip rock

Fun trail with beautiful views. Not difficult at all, but does have some tricky spots. Our dog loved it! There were also people fishing and getting photos taken while we were there. The river was why we went on this hike and we will definitely be back!

Love this trail! The water crossing are fun and nice for the horses when it’s hot. There’s plenty of shade and nice footing for your horse!

Interesting trail, great incline at the beginning and then trail stops because it is overgrown.

Great trail, like the other reviews said, pretty easy to start with a few slick places. Saw tons of poison oak, poison ivy and a big rattlesnake, so keep an eye out.

One of my favorite local hikes. Good workout and beautiful flowers and views.

Good short hike for kids and families. Lots to see as well

Love this trail. Beautiful along the river. And you can go further than the point on the map. Relatively easy footing(a small amount of scrambling).

Great views and a good climb. Will be doing this hike again, bring water especially if hiking in the afternoon sun.

It was a pretty easy trail. There were some narrow/rocky hills that made it a little difficult for kids/elderly people but other than that it was great. The view of the river was lovely. I would recommend going early morning so it’s not so hot. We got there around 11 and the parking lot was full so you have to wait for a car to exit to enter. Take lots of water and sunblock!
