Beautiful trail, but closed at I5 for construction about 1.5 miles in. Still well worth it.

Nice trail out along ridgetops, but if you follow the All-Trails map you end up walking along the berm on busy Manchester Blvd, and then following a utilities access road. next time I will look for a more scenic return route.

I went this past weekend with some fiends from work and we all really enjoyed it and planning our next hike.

took my 10 and 12 year boys with. it was a hot day but it was a nice little workout.

Walk my dogs through here. There are a few more trails on the other side too. I parked in the parking lot of the busy golf course.
The area is called Quail Hollows & Quail Gardens.
Panoramic views of North County.

The connection to Annie's Canyon trail is closed due to construction along the 5 freeway.

Great overlook

Trail was easy, beautiful views, and just enough incline to get your heart rate up for a minute. We ended up crossing Quail gardens and continuing the hike in the canyon on the other side. I would do it again!

I love this trail - do it all the time. It's one of my favorites in the area. Easy to get to and never really very busy.

Park in the northwestern end of the parking lot, and look for the little pseudo trailhead on the north end of the lot that drops you down to the main path along Quail Gardens Drive. From there, it's just a short distance trail that veers away from the road and leads up to the viewpoint over the golf course and through the rest of the trail. There are great views on all parts of this trail, and quite often you'll spot owls who hang out and nest in the area.

In my opinion, doing this trail as a loop, as it's shown is less enjoyable than doing this trail as an out-and-back, turning around at the point where you reach the driving range. You get more distance and more quiet trail time that way. It's about 2 miles if you do it that way.
