The views were beautiful. The trail was nice with pretty good inclines at points.
I have loved this entire area with its short yet partly steep trails for 11 years. Locals also call it the El Cerrito Hillside Natural Area. One can get a good exercise hike which begins as a fairly steep, long uphill, and then continue the flat loop, descending back down. Sweeping views of the Bay, San Francisco, and Marin. Great sunset location. About half of the loop is in the shade, among pine and gnarly oaks. Abundant wildlife, especially in spring and fall: deer, owls, hawks, foxes, all of which I have personally seen there.
