Short flat trail that’s an easy walk to a point with nice views of Torrey Pines and the coast.

Easy well defined trail for the whole family. Rains have caused some ruts in the trail. Great views.

Nice easy loop. We went on an overcast day but there’s no shade so I can see how it would be hot in full sun. Plenty of dolphin sightings on the coast!

Great way to add variation to Torrey Pines hike. 118 steps, you go down then climb back up. I enjoy the cardio kick it adds to my hike at TP!

Excellent hike with 5 star views. Good conditions, open trails, and free, unlike other areas nearby

DO NOT GO IF IT HAS RAINED! Wait until 24 hours after rain stops then the trails will be re-opened if they're safe. I went before sunrise and parked for free down by the beach. I trekked up the hills and was not alone, it was very popular for runners so it felt safe. Once I got to the trails they were closed. I kept going down the paved road to Old Highway 1 almost to the golf course. Even though I didn't get to see what I came for, the hike was still challenging and worth it. Great views. Really liked seeing traffic on the 5 freeway from a distance and not driving in it for once. I will be back another time.

Went the wrong way, so follow the trail! Plenty of shade if you follow the same trail there and back.

Nice short trail loop with some mild incline. The loose sand adds for a bit of extra challenge running. There are great views from the trail head and of the lagoon.

118 steps down can be challenging during peak times, but still easy. Views are delightful.

Very nice trail, very steep at beginning/end. The waterfall was beautiful. Glad I brought my hiking pole due to rocks, incline/ declines and washed out areas. Took the trail to waterfall and service road back. I suggest trail both ways. The Camino Ruiz park was nice with rest rooms, ample parking and easy to find trail head. Moderately busy on a Saturday morning. No wildlife spotted.

Nice views, not too difficult, lots of overlooks, only downer was the beach access was closed from up top so we couldn’t complete the loop.

There was no beach access.

Started from a neighborhood on Carmel Valley since I wanted free parking. It was like 4 miles round trip. Beautiful views and workout up the hills. I’d recommend starting early since this is a popular trail.

Stairs on some trails can be challenging, great views of the beach and landscape.

Amazing views and great kept up trail. Good for all ages, bring water for the hike back up!

Overcrowded, but nice views.

This is a great little trail. Like most of Torrey Pines trails it takes you by the ocean within the loop. I think the key point for this one is there are 118 rock steps that take you down to the trail. If you feel comfortable doing this, you should be good to go. Also I recommend wearing proper shoes. The rocks can be slippery with the sand on top of them.

Great views open up as you climb. Easy walk, slight incline. Trail can be a little narrow so long pants keep your legs from being scratched.

Great views, easy trail for anyone who can handle the 100 steps down and up. Good for all fitness levels.

Not the best hike

A beautiful hike to the beach and through trails along the sandstone cliffs. Majestic views of the ocean. Some stairs and rocks were pretty steep and slippery so would recommend wearing hiking shoes.

Easy and friendly little hike.

Easy to follow once you find the entrance to the trail. When you enter the park, look left towards the fence line and you’ll see the access of the gate door is open. You can also deviate and go towards waterfall like I did. So much gravel though and tough on weaker ankles like mine.

great trail. I modified it a bit to make a loop so it was even better.

Not bad. You can hear the highway the whole time. Cute little path that’s well kept.

I dont leave feedback...best trail in SD. You feel like you’re in the wilderness especially if you go early before a ton of people are on the trails.

It was a nice little hike, especially cutting through the over look. Kinda of overgrown on the trails.

Juvenile rattlesnake was out on trail, very exciting. Fun hike with our 8 year old. 118 stone steps.
