It was a nice short walk, with good view or lagoon and fairground.
there are stairs and narrow trails, and so strollers are not recommended. Dogs are allowed on a leash (although some people had their dogs off leash....)
Eastern trail is shady early morning because of the hill.
There are plenty of street parking spaces by the trail head.

Great views! Easy to park, quick little hike with some good little hills so you get some variety. Loved it.

Easy to park, not crowded, nice views, short and easy hike.

Boring

Way less crowded than the main Torrey Pines trails to the south west, but just as beautiful, with ocean/lagoon views and ocean breezes. A bit sandy in parts. Some cool sandstone formations along the trail. It splits off into the A and B trails at the beginning, stay left for the ocean/lagoon views.

Getting pretty overgrown, not well maintained. Not well marked.

We walked our dog there hundreds of times. This should be rated as easy. It is a flat loop for an easy walk. The rain water in the winter pools into a pond and have many wild birds living there. There are bird watchers who go there to watch these birds. Late in the summer, the pond dries out. There is no shade for the entire trail and can get very hot in the summer. Rattlesnakes can be seen occasionally in the summer months on or near the trail, so be careful. You can see / hear the highway, and see the parking lot from the entire trail. It feels more like a community trail in the backyard.

Haven't tried this trail yet, but plan to this week. Can anyone recommend where to park? I don't see street parking on the map.
