Great fun, we took our 11, 10 and 8 year old’s and they loved it. Make sure you go at low tide so you are able to enjoy the caves. Lots of tide pools at low tide as well.

Looked great for afar! This trail is closed and parking lots are closed due to covid-19 sharing for those looking for currently opened trails.

A beautiful trail at low tide! Enjoyed the rocks and sea caves along with the ample marine life visible in the tide pools which are the real highlight!

This is an extremely short hike with amazing views of Dana Point harbor. The area is a native plant habitat and looks put over the Pacific at a high vantage point.

Beautiful trail with great views of the ocean!

Beautiful views of the ocean and an easy, flat trail that’s great for all ages. If you start at the nature center kids can borrow binoculars and bird guides for birdwatching.

Breathtaking views, tons of wildlife including several species of hawks up close. Only complaint is that it's a very short trail.

Loved this walk, mostly down hill starting from Marina Hills it’s about 3.7 miles to Salt Creek Beach. Once you go under tunnel below Niguel Rd be sure to go right or you end up back on road. Nice wide paved path, wonderful golf course and beach views, great breeze! But a bit more challenging on the return as mostly uphill. Bring plenty of water as there is not much shade. I will only do this one again early morning or in colder weather, as it gets brutally hot coming back.

This was a hike from the Marriott resort to Dana Point Harbor around and back. Simple concrete hike.

this isn't really a trail it's a beach and while dogs are allowed on leash around the camp areas they're not allowed on the beach. Nevermind that there is nowhere to walk except the beach or the road (the latter of which isn't advisable). I'm sure it's a great time if you don't have a dog, but that was sort of the point for me.

It was everything I wanted it to be...a little bit challenging, water, cave, time with my 4yo.

This one is probably great in the spring when everything is green, but’s it’s very dry in summer. Great sunset viewpoints along the trail and surrounding roads.

super easy trail short and hard to get lost

mostly rocks! Still nice and because of the slow pace and rocks you can wear those useless heavy hiking boots you bought

High tide and low sun prevented me from making to the beach. There’s a cave and at the end that was filling with waves so I Chickened out swimming alone at the end. Out and back it is.

easy fun walk. very good for beginners. very sandy so not good for strollers.

Free parking, there are restrooms. When the tide is low, this is a great and beautiful ankle twister hike. With a tunnel at the end. If you are brave to get your feet wet and make it to the other side? Not necessary cause this trail ends right before it anyway.

This was a good hike. There are beautiful views of the ocean and lots of shade. It's one way and then you have to turn around and come back. Check the tide, if it's high tide, some of the trail is not accessible. Wear sturdy shoes, it mostly loose rocks and sand.

This is not a good trail for roller skating. The hills are tremendously high with steep inclines both up and down. It is moderately trafficked. Great views but horrible for trail skating.
