Definitely a moderate to hard trail, more on the hard side given the elevation and distance . The entire loop is exactly 9.9miles (starting and ending at the entrance parking lot ) and we hiked it clockwise. The climb to the top is ~4.5 miles and elevation gain is around 400ft/mile and is a great workout (going Counterclockwise results in a relatively shallow climb but a steep descent which is very hard on the knees). Great Panoramic Views of the valley provide some respite in the climb. Bring lots of water. Overall, a great workout and an enjoyable hike

Surprisingly nice trail for a quick walk after work. Some decent elevation gain (especially towards the top going anti-clockwise) and good views.

I went in the evening and found anti-clockwise worked well - singletrack half of the way up and the majority in shade. Sections did have sun in the eyes so sunglasses recommended.

My go to hike

This hike should be categorized as hard due to the length and the elevation. It was quite difficult doing the full loop, but completely worth it. Absolutely gorgeous.

Running it counter clockwise makes all the uphill climbs in the shade!

Felt like hard tho had lots of fun. Saw wild fox.

nice hike. better to do early on hot day.

My daughter loved the animals. We would definitely do this hike again just to visit with them.

Pretty exposed. No rest. Not much in the way of a view unless you like looking at Cupertino and spaceships.

great hike, limited parking

Completed within 3 hours. Many zigzags and wildflowers! An enjoyable and energizing trail.

A enjoyable loop with elevation and more sun exposure in the first half (PG&E, Upper High Meadow)., There is a vista point at top with great scenery - a good spot to take a rest!
I completed the entire loop within 3-4 hours.

Great hike with a good amount of shade. Lots of up and down slopes which provides a substantial work out. Relatively popular but not overly crowded. Parking is a challenge so do beware.

As someone who hasn't been hiking much in a while, I found this hike challenging but do-able. I highly recommend going to the right (East) first to get the really steep part out of the way first (I imagine it's also really hard on the knees to go down that slope). It's tough but less than a mile.

The GPS sent me to a trailhead on the side of the road with no parking lot, but there was space for maybe 4 cars to park there. There may be a better place nearby to park further south but I didn't look because there was space at the trailhead.

It's about 50% shaded, and the trees are really beautiful.

I went on a nice Saturday afternoon, and although I did see a few other hikers, it was nowhere near as busy as some of the more obvious trails that are this close to residential areas.

Completed the trail with my 9 year old. Was a beautiful experience. Lower wildcat loop trail was closed due to mountain lion sighting.

Nice short loop for trail running or hiking with older kids.

Overall a decent trail. The first half was nice, with a good amount of shade. The trail got very steep in the middle, and the second half was almost completely exposed to the sun. The second half was also a biking trail and had good views, but was pretty uncomfortable on a hot day (~90 degrees).

Sunny hike. Not a lot of elevation. My experience in the link below.

Good variety of terrain. Good steep sections with flat sections in between. Enough shade to not burn under the sun. Loved it!

I run a shorter loop of this trail. It’s 5 miles and I love the way it flows. The view from the top is incredible.

We enjoyed the hike. Enjoyed the views and single track hike. Lots of animals, birds and butterflies out. Forest got some love at Hunters point (not on but nearby the loop).

Beautiful scenery and great view on top of hill
Map looks trail is small but not :)

Its a moderate trail and we probably took a longer loop and ended up at around 6.7 miles. Some hills were challenging for us, but fun. View was okay.

This was my first hike after 7 years break. I could able to complete the hike. Nice scenic view in between the hike . Definitely will go again..

The trail was beautiful and it was nice for a Sabbath walk/hike. The hikes/walks are different from the hikes I like to do on any other day of the week. I actually slow down on Sabbath. It was my first time there, I will go back. The farm was a cute unexpected surprise on the walk. ☺
The advice I can give is, go early it was hard to find parking, it was full.

Great afternoon hike with the family

Beautiful trail and views just ALOT of poison oak is why I removed one star

This trail is especially beautiful during rainy season. It's much more green than some of the other trails in the area! In the summer it's nothing special and I'd rather go elsewhere. It's worth the extra .25 to .5 miles to go to the top of Maisie's Peak on a clear day!

Just a pretty little stroll through the woods, easy and the farm is such a COOL place to take your kids, especially in the Spring. All the baby animals are out and they are so fun to watch. If you have kiddies, grab a pack and some snacks and take them here. Leave no trace, please!
