My daughter loved the animals. We would definitely do this hike again just to visit with them.

The trail was beautiful and it was nice for a Sabbath walk/hike. The hikes/walks are different from the hikes I like to do on any other day of the week. I actually slow down on Sabbath. It was my first time there, I will go back. The farm was a cute unexpected surprise on the walk. ☺
The advice I can give is, go early it was hard to find parking, it was full.

Just a pretty little stroll through the woods, easy and the farm is such a COOL place to take your kids, especially in the Spring. All the baby animals are out and they are so fun to watch. If you have kiddies, grab a pack and some snacks and take them here. Leave no trace, please!

parking is really bad. get there early!!

Very nice views and lot of trail options

The farm was the best part!

+ near city. Convince in terms of location is hard to beat.
+ dogs are allowed.
- paid parking
- noise from trucks operating near the dam site.

Relative flat trail to enjoy nature with deers roaming, woodpeckers chipping and wild turkeys!

very nice at the first half, but less shady at the second half. The farm is interesting, but quiet stinky.

Fun casual hike with family. Our 2 year olds both did this hike many times with little whining.

Nice trail

trail running

Ran the 3.1 mile loop counterclockwise, and overlapped so that I made the farm my finish line. Great warm weather trail as it is mostly shaded with exposed area consisting of level or downhill terrain.

Easy but fun, especially when the pigs are out and about

My favorite hiking running walking trail at Rancho. Ran this trail with a off-road jpg stroller for years. Walked it with my kids. Team with a running group. Hiked it alone or with friends. Beautiful. Great forest feel yet right in there city.

Sometimes there stream is running.

Always a great placed to be.

We meant to hike this trail but went the wrong way and went UP Lookout Trail... Immediately at the trail head at the Madrone Picnic Area stay to the left! The trail splits and almost at the very beginning and believe me, you do not want to hike up that big hill on a hot day with three little kids!

It was great, execpt for the cement factory across the lake making blasting noises blowing up their mountain for limestone. Scenery is partially ruined because of the cement factory's mark on the otherwise beautiful landscape. River is accessible in many spots, so is the lake. Wonderful trail exept for that horrible factory.

nice and easy family friendly trail :)

Fine but no short loop access

Decent trail for a quick afternoon hike!

This is one of my favorite hiking spots. Lots of nice scenery, flowers, plants, nice views.

Great trail options

Didn't like the sounds of gunfire throughout the hike. DID like that we shared the trail with deer at one point.

Great hike!

The entrance and the first Mile or so are very family heavy to get to the farm. but then you can pick a trail and the crowds dissipate. The hike to the vista point is moderate to hard depending on your fitness level.

Nice walk. Very easy perfect for families. The river was raging after this winter storms.

This is a trail for people who may not like hills, there is only one inclined section up to the reservoir. Good views of the reservoir which was nearly full when we hiked at beginning of march. Very nice spring flowers starting to bloom. Towards the turn around lots of springs were flowing across the path, people had placed branches to cross them. Advise to bring hiking boots so you don't have to worry about the mud on your street shoes. This trail can be hot in the summer, bring water.

Paved and Unpaved walking trail for kids and parents. Spotted lots of turkeys, deers, squirrels on the way. And animal at the farm were a treat. My 3 yr old walked 75% of the hike

It's an easy hike and ends at the farm.lots of animals to see. Good fun with children.

This is called a Coyote loop trail rather than a Deer Hollow farm trail. I would rate it as 'moderate' rather than 'easy' for novice. Heavily used during weekends and holidays. It can have a few slippery spots during/after heavy rains, but it is good for running and hiking.
