Not a bad hike... very pretty and mostly forested so the sun isn't beating down on you the whole time. Great views all around. pretty easy hike, and quick. Took me and my dog about 1.5 hours round trip. It is a forest service road and you may encounter off road vehicles. The road is very narrow so not a lot of room to get out of the way. Easy to find as well... there's a sign.

walked it twice.

We enjoyed this loop walk. It is mostly on dirt and provides a lot of shade which was great on a warm day. Pretty views of the lake and you can walk right up to the lake from the trail. We only encountered a couple other people walking it, so we pretty much had it to ourselves. Lots of people fishing along the lake. Great start to our vacation, we walked from our cabin.

Walked Lake Gregory a few times. Pretty lake. Very easy walk and has some shade. There is a grocery store called Goodwins right by the lake that has great deli sandwiches that you can pick up and eat while viewing the lake.

on Miller Canyon Trail

Hiked Miller Canyon to Serrano Beach, Silverwood lake, on 8/24/18. Very nice hike. Has some shade. It was a little hard to find the trail entrance. Had to walk on a black top road for a little ways until we found the path leading to the trail below. No water in the creek this time of year. Looking forward to going again when the water is running. There are shaded picnic tables at Serrano beach which was a great place to stop for lunch. The view of the lake was beautiful. There are restrooms at the beginning and end of the trail. I would recommend starting early in the day because it got pretty hot. There was plenty of parking during the week. I am sure it gets pretty full on the weekend and holidays.

trail running

I run this trail quite often as I live near by. Very peaceful, a lot of shade and you can take it to the Pinnacles. Definitely one of my favorites.

nice run but when we went the water was very low leading to a bad odor 1/4 of the way around. nice single path trail though which was very nice. there's a path that's right on the road and then a lower path that is nearer to the water. the path by the water is obviously much better and less trafficked. some portions of the trail force you up to the path on the road though so be warned.

Nice mix of single track trail and road. We were met at the trailhead by some deer. It was a little hot but there was a lot of shaded areas.

Beautiful, scenic hike. There are paid parking lots but there is a small parking lot next to the chamber of commerce which offers free parking. The trail can be accessed at that area near the picnic tables.

Lovely walk around the lake. The trail is mostly dirt or gravel and mostly tucked away, with a few paved sections. Shady and lots of opportunity to get down to the shoreline.

If your close by, and want a little stretch/stroll, this is your best bet. Seems like a lot of locals walk the lake. Most parking is paid parking ($8-9). Looks like free parking in at least one spot (see track). The lake is swimmable, and again it appears a lot of locals hang out there. Looks good for kids. Lots of Toys, and activity structures in the water, and seems safe for kids (complete with life guards). Again, you pay for entrance. There is a par course in some of the areas.

Nice easy loop, but under construction when we went. Parking is $10 for the day in the public lots, but you can find other places along the road to park. Pretty crowded, so it’s not the cleanest of places. There is a bathroom along the loop, and bins for trash/recyclables at several points so not the place to go if you’re looking to get lost in the woods.

This is a wonderful, easy trail to walk. You have a lot of gorgeous scenery and views. I like walking this trail with my dogs several times a week, I have always felt safe so I don’t mind going without my husband. You can park along the road in certain spots or pay to park in the lots. There is also a dog park with a small dog section and a drinking fountain bowl for dogs. I like to stop in there to allow my dogs to roam off leash for a while. There are plenty of trash and recycle bins along the trail so there’s no excuse to leave any thing behind. Also some exercise stations through out and a bathroom on the north west (I believe) part of the lake.

Trail head starts on the first dirt road to your right on Pine Ridge Dr. You can park on the street at Weisshorn. It is warm enough now to go swimming in the creek by the waterfalls.

Loved it, they charge for parking. Everyone is very friendly. I saw no dog poop or trash. Just beauty everywhere

Can someone please tell me where the start of this trail is??? Drove around for hours and never found it!!!

I couldn't get there either. The start/end on the All Trails Map off Devils Canyon is not accessible due to new development. Signs on road say "Private Road" "NoTresspassing".

I hate giving this a one star, but I am required to leave a star rating.

Nice short hike! Lots of beautiful shade. You do have to walk on the sidewalk/parking lot for a bit but not too much.

We couldn't figure out how to stay on the trail because there are fences in the way. I wouldn't go back, most the trail was street.

This is a pretty walk on trails along the lake shore and road. Locals are friendly. Feels somewhat more like a city hike than a mountain hike unfortunately. Lots of construction in town in spring 2018.

Pretty, but kind of stressful. There is a prison nearby with a noisy loudspeaker, and lots of people ride dirt bikes and jeeps on the trail.

Awesome hike! Great views! The only downside is that a lot of people use it for off roading and it can get dusty.

I’ve done this trail numerous times. It’s always a pleasure. Great for walking the dog or taking a jog.

Easy road and some really nice views.

Easy Trail to walk or jog. Kid friendly and enjoyed the scene.

We started from the north side (miller canyon). Maybe the south end of this loop is nicer but we turned around after about a mile - too many “red flags”. First it starts near a dirt bike riding area, which I’m not against but we could hear them the whole time. It also had some sort of prison near the start. And finally the trail was just following a steep 4x4 road next to some power lines.

can't get there. it is on a private road and the gates were closed

This hike takes you to a year round waterfall. Then you continue down an awesome mountain side till you reach Miller Canyon. Which is a great jump off point to other hikes.

This one is a good hike or a good ride. I live by Dart Canyon so I can hike/ride to Miller Canyon then uphill back.
