Parking for this trail is on Foothill Parkway, not in the neighborhood. This was a great hike. I did it in the evening starting at 5:30 PM. Total hike to Beeks Place and back was a brisk 3 hours for me - I am pretty fast and ran part of the way down. I watched the sunset on the hike down and enjoyed the city lights from Corona. I highly recommend an evening hike - there was a lot of shade on the way up and hiking after sunset was not an issue - lots of ambient light and there were other hikers and MTBs too. I had a great view of the crescent moon with Jupiter trailing in the western sky with a lovely view of Mars to the south. When I got to Bleeks Place, the gate was closed (easy to go around) with a sign that said "Closed to all uses" with the Trabuco Canyon Ranger Stations phone number.

This is a fire trail that is maintained & a good conditioning hike but for a good workout take the short cuts. Unfortunately the recent fire has closed the trail for a while.

Hiked this trail a few times as a conditioning trail in the evenings, nice view from the top. Not to boring but enough to give you a workout.

Fun trail. We took Indian Truck Trail and went right at the main divide up to Santiago Peak. Trail was easy in our stock Rubicon with about three rocky parts with erosion ruts but they were fun. Highly recommend for an afternoon that is close to home. Took us about three hours round trip.

It’s open and the weather was great...started at 6am...

Good hike for warm days.
Mostly shade

Easy to find trails difficult to find which trail is what. We were trying to find tin mine (this is before I found this app) and we followed the main trail to the Doppler thinking it was tin mine. We went 5 miles up until some lady’s that stopped us told us that it is 5 miles back down the direction we came and two miles out. As we walked down with them they told us about all trail app which is SOO nice. I just wish they had more signs.

Make sure you go straight past those rocks when you get to the hiking information board and you will find a maker called nature trail. Super easy and fun walk but lots of poison oak so just stay on the trail. One of Coronas hidden historical places. Many people probably didn’t know that that mine was here long before corona was established and before people even decided to settle here so lots of historical importance to this mine which is overlooked.

Pretty good hike. Not too busy for a 4th of July

I love this hike, it can be hard or easy, depends how much you can take.

Rope trail with my cousin, Amanda, is THE best!!!

An easy trail to the Doppler station. ~5.4 miles from the beginning of Skyline Trail at Foothill Blvd to the station. Easy due to wide truck path all the way through and just follow the path, no way to get "lost." Mountain bikers go through here as well. Took 2 hours 10 minutes walking up at a normal pace, hung around the top for 15 minutes and less than 2 hours back down the mountain side. Nice views of Corona 3-4 miles in, and when on the mountain top, views of Blackstar Canyon into Orange County.

Nice hike. Great views

This trail is rated hard and it was. But definitely worth the cardio workout. The last portion is super steep and the dirt is really lose so we weren’t able to complete it. Great views from the top.

Note: The dirt road that leads to this trail is rough and not suitable for most sedans. Mid to high clearance vehicles are recommended.

This is a beautiful canyon hike with a good amount of shade. It’s pretty busy though, so if you’re not a fan of crowds, come during the week or early on the weekend.

Fantastic off road adventure with lots of Geocaches along the route. We took a slightly different path and took a left at Main Divide and went back to Lake Elsinore area. High clearance is a must on this route, and 4x4 is highly recommended. Mostly it's dry but there are a lot of rocks (some medium to large, at least on the route we took) and larger ruts. All in all, it was awesome and had a georgous section through the trees.

Awesome trail. Great views

I did this hike on 6/06/18.
bring plenty of water no shade, except that Beeks place. last part of the hike entailed steep down Hills loose gravel and dirt hiking poles helped greatly. bring some snacks as you may want to take a break, start early.

Beautiful trail once you get out of the residential area. No shade but breeze was nice. Took our shepherd with us which was nice. I recommend this for anyone wanting a good day out.

Took my girlfriend up the trail. Definitely a nice place to get away from the city. Great view of the freeways.

Great family hike. Lost a pair of Maui Jim prescription glasses today, though. If found, please call Jason at 714-910-4101.

Went today in my ford ranger 2wd. Very easy trail and the scenery was nice throughout the entire run. Especially like it towards the middle where the pine trees cover you on both sides

Nice, easy trail that is shaded in most parts. Pretty oak trees line the way as you follow a thin creek.

If you continue to take this trail up and up and up, you will eventually get to Sierra Peak. Sierra Peak is easy to recognize because there are numerous antennas, cell towers and such on the summit. There are not any signs after the trailhead sign but if you keep taking the main trail, you will find Sierra Peak but it will be about 4 1/2 miles each way. The trail starts out very easy with a gradual incline on a fire road. You will pass over a street and continue to gain elevation. There are VERY steep areas which surprised me. I recommend bringing hiking poles (which I did not bring) and good hiking boots, especially for the return trip.

Additionally, unless you love extreme heat, do this hike early or on a cool day because there is no shade at all.

Normally, I would give this type of hike (mostly fire-type road) a 2 or 3-star but the extreme steepness, spring wildflowers, and the windy cool day made it a wonderful hike.

Indian truck trail is one of our favorite close to home trails. Nice, easy trail for beginners. Connects with the main divide, and once you get to the top you can go left to Santiago peak and follow it down into Orange County or go right and head into Silverado Canyon. The view from the top is amazing!

Went this morning with my daughter and 2 grandchildren ages 3 & 5. Beautiful scenery, will definitely go again!

this is a very steep long trail. nice views. Just make sure you go on a cool day. not much shade. But the views are worth it !
