Does anyone know if this trail is still open due to CoVid19

hiked up a pretty decent way July 3, completely exposed trail and a bit too hot to hike this time of year. great view from the top, just very little shade, and I got chewed up by bugs.

Very easy hike, easy enough for kids. Please remember if you do this hike everything you pack in pack it out. Watch out for poison ivy as well. Overall it’s a nice hike with some art at the end!

Pretty nice and smooth trail don’t need four-wheel-drive a whole lot, just kind of rocky. There’s a lot of activity out there so you got a watch out for the blind corners and there are a lot of tight spots to pass each other.

First couple miles up are not hard. Then the REAL steepness hits in. Yeah, it’s steep. that’s seriously the best thing about the hike. Getting up on top was lack luster. The way down is blah as well. During the steep part, there were bugs. Not the type to bite, but that fly in your mouth. However I didn’t see another person the entire time I was on the trail! Not 1!!! So that alone was a win. I did see some on the walk/run/bike paved path that you have to take for a mile to get to the trail from your vehicle though. The actual time on the trail would be subtract 2 miles, because of that paved part from your car to the trail.

Difficult trail especially in the full sun. Saw a tarantula. Last “peak” is a sheer scramble! Probably would not do again because I prefer nature overlooks rather than a suburban neighborhood.

Great trail a little technical at a couple points big thing is watching for oncoming traffic especially motorcycles as long as the people trying to pass you know what the heck they’re doing it’s a good ride ... from time to time you’ll run into that individual that decides to take their Honda Civic up the mountain and gets stuck blocking the path. Incredible views four-wheel-drive a must

It’s trashy. Lots and lots of trash and homeless. This is not the place to go alone or with children. The rocks and “falls” are terribly ugly. Beer cans and bottles everywhere so beware of broken glass. Also, this is private property so know you’re trespassing and I’ve seen police called there because people are disrespectful of homeowner properties.

Gets really steep and slippery due to the loose rocks and gravel. I couldn't walk down the steep hills rather I slid. (due to my vans hightops). Had to almost craw up one or two inclines. Only 2 people went to the top with me , so not many people go. Trails get small and sometimes blocked with bushes. Saw a snake in the middle of the trail. It's cool, nice flowers and plants with a view over the city.
