Note: The dirt road that leads to this trail is rough and not suitable for most sedans. Mid to high clearance vehicles are recommended.

This is a beautiful canyon hike with a good amount of shade. It’s pretty busy though, so if you’re not a fan of crowds, come during the week or early on the weekend.

I’ve been to numerous of trails and this one was just ok. Definitely not kid friendly. My son kept sliding. If you want to avoid hiking, you may keep driving to top of the hill and go through the gate to go down the stairs instead.

I did this hike on 6/06/18.
bring plenty of water no shade, except that Beeks place. last part of the hike entailed steep down Hills loose gravel and dirt hiking poles helped greatly. bring some snacks as you may want to take a break, start early.

Short hike..no shortage of grafffitt...actually colorful.

Beautiful trail once you get out of the residential area. No shade but breeze was nice. Took our shepherd with us which was nice. I recommend this for anyone wanting a good day out.

Took my girlfriend up the trail. Definitely a nice place to get away from the city. Great view of the freeways.

Great family hike. Lost a pair of Maui Jim prescription glasses today, though. If found, please call Jason at 714-910-4101.

Nice, easy trail that is shaded in most parts. Pretty oak trees line the way as you follow a thin creek.

Easy trail. Graffiti is fun and it guides you for most of the trail. We went in mid-May when the temp was only 74 but I could see this getting hot.

Hard hike due to the rocks. Take a walking stick. I did have a bad slip over some rocks and gravel. I did find the water fall.

Total surprise water fall right in the residential area of Corona, CA. Short hike with about 200-ft elevation gain. Bring a trash bags to help take down discarded cans of spray paints.

If you continue to take this trail up and up and up, you will eventually get to Sierra Peak. Sierra Peak is easy to recognize because there are numerous antennas, cell towers and such on the summit. There are not any signs after the trailhead sign but if you keep taking the main trail, you will find Sierra Peak but it will be about 4 1/2 miles each way. The trail starts out very easy with a gradual incline on a fire road. You will pass over a street and continue to gain elevation. There are VERY steep areas which surprised me. I recommend bringing hiking poles (which I did not bring) and good hiking boots, especially for the return trip.

Additionally, unless you love extreme heat, do this hike early or on a cool day because there is no shade at all.

Normally, I would give this type of hike (mostly fire-type road) a 2 or 3-star but the extreme steepness, spring wildflowers, and the windy cool day made it a wonderful hike.

Went this morning with my daughter and 2 grandchildren ages 3 & 5. Beautiful scenery, will definitely go again!

Went to go hiking today and there was a brand new fence around opening to trail. Does anyone know of a different way to get to the trail?

Nice hike. Great little falls at the end

Incline trail. I grade this trail moderate/hard. We parked on street that led to trail, why drive? The views were okay, the leg workout was good. Keep in mind the trail is full of uneven ground, holes. If your okay with the incline being most of your trail, this is for you! Wish I could post trail pictures for you, don’t know how though.

Fun trail. Definitely a hike to do if you live close by and want to get fit. Great views of the IE and I like how it connects to Blackstar Canyon when you get far enough back.

Gate is closed 2miles before parking lot and notice posted saying Emergency closure April 20th through May 18th, 2018. I’ll try to post photo of sign warning $5,000 fines for being in area.

Awesome Hike! Kids loved it and Mother Nature Gave us a lot of shade along with some nice breeze through the openings of the canyons. Kids will Be Kids, bring extra socks and shoes, A Good possibility they will purposely splash crossing the creeks.

A nice short hike with a twist. Graffiti usually takes away from the natural scenery but in his home the graffiti makes it unique.

My primary concern was getting my Scion xB up to the trailhead. I left early in the morning and drove a slow 10 mph but it managed! Decent amount of water on the falls.

The walk up to the actual trailhead is a paved path behind a residential area and then a dirt road...that part was kind of a bummer, to be honest. Dry, not scenic, trash and dog doodles everywhere and be sure to slather on the sunscreen there is no shade on this part. Once you hit the actual Tin Mine trail it gets better! Pretty, nice shady spots for breaks, the mine itself is pretty interesting. and overall an easy trail with minimal elevation change. There is a cute little creek which only had water in a few spots in April, but either way, the trail is quite lovely and lots of little creatures too. Was pretty crowded as well, but for how close it is, it still felt like a hike in the woods. :)

Really enjoyed the hike. Shady and small creeks to cross made it very enjoyable. The car ride to get there was bumpy but also fun. Not a difficult hike even for small dogs.

Nice short hike!
