Tough but not treacherous. Reaching the top is definitely gratifying. I headed out around 3:30 pm and made it to the top a little after 5 pm. At this time of the year that means basically no sun at all by the time you reach the peak, so bring a headlamp or other reliable source of light if you hike in the afternoon. I was lucky to come down under the moon light, which was quite nice. Rested for some twenty minutes before heading back down, back to the bottom just after 7 pm. There's great views all throughout in this area. looking down at the city lights at night was a bit of a treat. I'd definitely do this one again, but maybe head much earlier. tip: the Alltrails path doesn't quite fit the trail on a few spots, so use the satellite layer as needed.

One intense trail. Mountain biking, hiking, jogging, and walking. Basically all levels. Made it about two miles up and back in the heat of the day. Won’t do that again. Early morning would be the best time or at dawn. From the beginning of this trail the grade is pretty steep for a good mile. My pup enjoyed the hike. Didn’t see any dog poop bag kiosks, so if you bring your dog, bring poop bags.

it's both easy and moderate. In the beginning it's easy to walk up, then it gets steeper with some rocks, then it's a nice gentle Sandy walk, along later a rocky ending to the too. Overall, I enjoyed the hike. Very pleasant and nice view with more green as you go further in the mountains. Superb!

no biker rides up this trail, they ride up Dunn. it's a thrill ride coming down and not for groms

Whoever rated this as a green trail is confused. Even as a hiking trail I’d say it’s a blue. On a bike it’s a black diamond climb. Steep, loose, rocky with several tight switchbacks. The descent was pretty fun but loose and sketchy in parts.

To get to the trail you will need to enter (and pay) to get into the park. The trail starts along the Murray Canyon trail and loops up around the hill. Scenic views and a decent cardio. Lots of horse poop and horses on the narrow trail.
