You CANNOT complete the trail as recorded here. First time in Palo Corona Park. Having read reviews beforehand ("MPRPD NOTICE (3/26/20): Effective immediately, the West (Highway 1) Entrance to Palo Corona Regional Park is closed until further notice"), we entered through the East Gate. We took the trail up over Inspiration Point to link up with the AllTrails route. GORGEOUS gorgeous. But after the pond, the trail is closed to the public, so we couldn't hop onto the trail recorded here. We looked for other ways around it but all of them have been gated off. Super disappointed because everything in this area is absolutely beautiful. A park official told us that they are working to reopen public access to lands south of the now-barred trail; the main issue sounds like there's private land. Otherwise, the park extends all the way to Garrapata! He said it's gorgeous. Anyway, a huge let-down after how excited I was to do the trail recorded here!

nice hike however be advised the sage portion of the trail is a uphill winding extremely narrow overgrown mess. nice if you enjoy that sort of thing but my wife was freaked over the poison oak and bugs.

Stunning. I believe we did some of the north shore trail but basically just stuck along the shoreline. Absolutely beautiful with the rocky tree filled cliffs and water - almost felt like another planet.

Two benches to sit and meditate were nice

5/4/20. Enjoyed this trail. Took it from the Carmel Valley Rd golf course entrance so not as long as the trail shown, but still great. Nicely maintained trails. Gorgeous pastures with up close and personal cow viewings (lol). Good incline getting to the top and well worth it for the views. Saw a lot of stink bugs & a small snake. Will be coming back for sure.

full circle of the park. 3-4 hours easy pace. Everything was lovely. Enjoy.

Absolutely gorgeous views on a clear day. Quite flat and easy walk.

Perfect trail. Starting recording late.

I took this trail from 4860 Carmel Valley rd where there is a nice big parking lot, you don’t need a permit, and a bunch of little walks before you get to the big trail. Highly recommend these views.

Great hike! Easy & plenty of views. Park on the street & you’ll miss the $10 toll at the park entrance. Happy hiking

LOVED this trail! All the view points are amazing! You get a little of everything. Sun, shade, wild flowers, trees, bushes, rocks, ocean... Super easy & not many hills up and down just a few minor stairs. Would definitely recommend for kids or just an easy workout with gorgeous views all around.

Short easy walk to the beach. We had the beach to ourselves on a Saturday in March. There was one seal on the beach (Gibson). Water was a beautiful color! Loop around bird island was so scenic! Wandered onto a different trail (great network of trails), easy to modify loop to make longer or shorter. If you do one hike in point lobos. Do this one. And park on the street for free! Bummed that no dogs were allowed :/

Highly recommend this trail!

Hike up and coming down was a pain due to the incline and loose gravel. Scenery was nice, but hard to enjoy due to always looking right at your feet to prevent falling.

Beautiful, easy hike around the area. Bring a windbreaker and beanie! There is a small fee to get in so bring cash.

Went on a cloudy day, beautiful indeed! Make sure bring your camera, we spot dears and seals. Loved it

Nice views along the trail and at inspiration point.

I love these trails because there’s a perfect mix of forrest and sea. The coastal views are breathtaking. There are a couple of small beaches along the trail. Park on the side of the road, before or after the entrance. This will help you make a loop around the place.

Easy trail. Quick loop but beautiful views. We went the Saturday after Valentine’s day. It was busy, but the trails were not crowded. There was still tons of free space.

Stunning views

This is an easy trail, heavily trafficked. Bring a good camera and enjoy all the Landscape pictures you’ll take.

Nice wide paths made this hike do-able with kiddos (ours are ages 3 and 5). Wear sunblock for the big open vistas.

it's fine if you're looking to go for a Sunday stroll with your mother-in-law. Views are spectacular! if you're looking for solitude, wilderness, and less touristy paths, head further south.
