Lots of uphill! It's definitely a good work out but not too strenuous. Just be prepared to go UP. Amazing break spot at the flag at the top/half way through the hike. There is a gorgeous view with a picnic table and a little note book you can write some thoughts in or you can read other people's thoughts which is pretty entertaining. Scenery wise the best part is at the look out, up til then it's not spectacular. But it's worth the walk!

Nice hike and good views, best view of course is at the end of the trail over looking San clemente and Dana point. My 9 yr old daughter did a lil complaining on the steeper inclines but pretty sure that’s normal lol.

Easy and great views.

Did the trail almost as the track indicates, except made a steep shortcut down on a single track and avoided bikers. It was a great sunny May day, could see Catalina over the haze.

We didn’t do the entire trail due to it drizzling/raining a bit and the trail being really slippery. We did about 1/2 overall and it was wonderful. The misty weather made the views magical and it was perfect hiking weather.

This is a great little trail. The hills aren't to difficult and make the view at the end all the more worth it. Would be great for a sunrise or sunset hike. Don't forget to sign the book at the end.

I'm not sure who classified this hike as easy. This is NOT an easy hike. It's not a long hike but the up and down elevation is brutal. I would rate it MODERATE. Great views with cottontail rabbits, wild flowers and wild melons growing. Even a 3 foot garder snake.

Hot and good inclines.

Definitely not what we expected but the views were incredible! We walk the oso creek trail which is considered "moderate", this trail is definitely more "moderate" than the oso creek. There is zero shade and a few steep hills so bring plenty of water and a little bowl for your pups! The Easter tree was all decorated and the flag was flying high and clear! Also, make sure to sign the guest book in the mail box!

Nice hike to get to some great views of the cost and mountains. There are no restrooms. Bring plenty of water. There are several good connecting trails to extend your hike if desired.
