Fantastic hard hike. First snow today was incredible. So many nice views. Watch out for yellow-jackets at campground entrance.

The first mile up is more like moderate plus. After that, quite easy. Great views. A great introduction to hiking on Mt Diablo. Lots of poison oak along the lower trail sections.

I’ve down this hike as a one day hike, 3 days with my son and coming from Crescent Meadow on a 6 day trip. The one day hike was rough. I loved 3 days with my son. One night before the summit, on the lake before the switch backs we were treated to a meteorite shower they continued for hours!!! Best memories with my son!

Did this as a 6 day hike in August 2019. Great memories, stunning sights and I’d do it again!

It’s been over a decade since I’ve been here. My dad took me at least 4 times as a youth and I’ve been several times with friends as a day hike. It’s a good hike!

This was a tough one day hike. It is really a special hike that passes through some extraordinary sights along the way. I was utterly floored by the view from the top and walking the ridge of Clouds Rest was something I will never forget.

Echo Lake to Aloha Lake was a decent hike- threw in a side trip to Lake of the Woods which was beautiful. Round trip of 14 miles. Different types of hiking terrain from crushed gravel to skree to some wooded type trails. Overall ascents and descent were not overly hard although the skree and smaller rocks can trip you up if you are not watching your foot placement. I would have given this hike a 4.5 but the payoff at the end was disappointing. Seems the electric company has a dam at one end and so graciously in their greediness decided to basically drain the lake leaving only a bunch of smaller lakes. So the iconic pictures you see on blogs and websites was not there to be seen. All in all was an ok hike but if I would have known in advance that the idyllic translucent blue waters weren’t there I wouldn’t have wasted 8 hours and would have rather done the Rubicon or something postcard worthy.

Finished this trial today. Very well kept and easy to follow, didn’t need AllTrails much. Only 11 people went up from this trail (yes, I counted). I started at 5:30am and took me a little over 4 hours to get there (moderate pace at 27min mile going up). I passed two other parties so I was the only one up there for a while. Great views from the top but today was very windy and cold. I was only able to stay there for 20min since it was too cold due to the wind chill. Went down in a little over 3 hours. Jogged a bit going down. Views are incredible and lots of scenery. Loved the creek. Follow me @ MrTraveler.me in instagram.

Awesome place to hike. I can see why it was such a great place to shoot dinosaurs with movie magic. Very relaxing walk through nature. Highly recommended. Very easy and beautiful.

Dog friendly trail and well managed. Perfect trail for listening to wildlife. The lake is beautiful with plenty of resting spots. My app stated >8 miles when I finished.

Beautiful hike! Worth the trek!

Hiked last Thursday from Sunrise Lakes parking lot need Tenaya Lake. Absolutely gorgeous hike. Took us about 8 hours, with about an hour break at the top. Lots of hornets at the summit so beware. We dipped our feet in Tenaya Lake afterwards, was so relaxing! Definitely recommend this hike.

This trail is amazing. Gem Lake is gorgeous. I do this hike every year!

Definitely one of the most rewarding hikes in Tahoe.

The trail can be dusty at times and the first mile has some steep inclines. All in all, this is a beautiful hike with an amazing payoff at Bear Lake. Camp Lake is a perfect spot to stop for lunch or a break. We camped at Bear Lake and it was a perfect spot to relax and chill out around a fire.

Alright listen once you get to the main waterfall there is a giant fallen tree to the right and there behind it is a steep ledge that lets you get above the waterfall. Keep hiking through the brush and you get to see a damn and a dead end with another waterfall and it’s more raw than the first one, but just please pickup your trash or other peoples trash so it can be as raw as possible . This hike was 10 stars if I could give it that.

A beautiful hike that gives you a little bit of everything- creeks, deer, meadows, wildflowers, butterflies, crickets, pine trees, mountains & incredible views. It is a trek all the way up, but the views are incredibly worth it. We saw a gorgeous sunset and full moon rise (both fiery due to the fires going on) & you can see gorgeous Mount Lassen, Lake Almanor & Lake Helen. It gets really cold & windy on top of the summit so wear layers even gloves & a beanie! Highly recommend this hike.

this is one tough hike, all uphill then all down, with lots of gnats to bug you, but rewarding at the top

Really great hike! Totally dog friendly and overall easy terrain. Mild uphill trend, even getting up to the pass is a fairly simple switch back section. A bit of loose rock is most of the challenge but watching your step it’s very doable. Once over the pass the lakes are not far! Though they are very cold for swimming! Though refreshing!! Where AllTrails says to camp is an open rock and silt garden. It is flat but it’s also open to the elements. We backtracked and found a hidden spot just before lower Morgan lake. I’m sure you can find a good spot too! Windy and cold at night but not bugs to complain about!!

My friend and I did all Ohlone Wildness Trail ( all 30 miles) in 10 hrs & 30 mins in 100 degree weather. stupid, I know. Bring EXTRA water! We ran out. It was pretty difficult especially around mile 21. There is no shade you are very exposed. But we did it!

Did this today 9/16/19. Started at 0600 and only saw a few people on the trail all day. This hike was definitely one of my favorites, as it has amazing views.
